Re: Aftermarket speakers?

— Any opinion using these Polk speakers as the replacements for better sound? Polk makes decent stuff for the money (at least they were 4 years ago when I left the install scene). If your expectations are reasonable, you should be content. 4" & 4x6 speakers with no enclosure will only sound so good.

Re: Bolt "Fire Sale!"

No adaptive cruise control is a bummer. It's strange that even with the Driver Confidence Package, which can pick up vehicles in front, that ACC isn't a feature. Oh well. Done 550 miles so far in two days :) Enjoying it. I was hoping on a buying a ~$20,000 lease trade early next year (which would li...

Bolt "Fire Sale!"

Well it happened, I just bought a 2019 Bolt Premier. $33,600 out the door (including SC sales tax) BEFORE the federal tax rebate. I read someone mentioning a "fire sale" on Bolts, in the comments on YouTube, so for shirts and giggles I checked out autotrader. Criswell Chevy in Gaithersburg, MD, had ...

I just wanted to say thanks
No problem, I'm glad it helped you. My contribution is miniscule compared to the folks that worked to find all of those PIDs and calculations. I enjoy the benefits of it everyday.

Out of energy. Charge vehicle now! Funny happenings on the way to the abyss.

After some spirited discussion on YouTube in the comments section (my user name is also strangely, thelondonbroiler (created before it became a term for bizarre sexual act...I hope)), I decided that I was going to dive deep into the Spark battery. I arrived home from work around 2am, ~30°F outside, ...

Re: Questions and Data tracking

I was just confused by how the lifetime number could be so high since no matter what I do I can't even get close. I'd bet money that the "range estimation correction," recall was done recently with some miles having been put on it afterwards, prior to your purchase. After the recall/update, your av...

Re: Bad/Good Issues

So I am basically going to have a brand new Spark EV in a couple weeks. Great info! You lucky(?) devil. I'm left wondering if this could possibly happen to me... Last October/November (within 2 weeks), my capacity reading dropped .8kwh. We'll see I guess. All cells are still really well balanced (w...

DCFC Blues/Abnormality

Yesterday I charged @ each of the two free AAA (Greenlots Signet FC50k) dcfc stations in Charlotte, NC yesterday, while driving around with my kiddos, then I came back to one after dropping them off, arriving with 8% battery (via Torque Pro). I plug in... nothing. A minute passes, station lights fla...

Re: 2014 vs 2015

If memory serves me correctly, the 2015 Spark EV will do 0-60 in a short 7.2 second whereas the 2014 achieves it in ~7.4 (I've ran several 7.3 second 0-60 runs in my 2015, as measured by torque pro, on flat ground. On one particular run, also on flat ground, it did manage 7.18. I haven't tested rece...

Re: Spare Tire?

I suppose the question about regen concerns the different diameter of the tires and how the ABS/Traction Control may not be happy with the different wheel speeds the sensors see and stop regen that way it does if you lose traction while braking. ^ This ^ I don't believe anyone knows for sure with t...
