Is it a normal thing after fast charging?
I think if you read the prior posts, you will come to the conclusion that this is normal. The only mystery is why GM/LG designed it to not classify the battery conditioning as such, after disconnecting from the DCFC.

Re: Battery Degradation vs Battery Limited Warranty

3rd: The warranty for 2015-16 Sparks is 40% degradation (2014 was 35%). Pretty sure only 2016 is 40%, both 2014 & 2015 are 35%. I don't have the manual for 2015, but someone in this forum furnished pictures to show that the 2015 was warranted to retain 65% capacity during the warranty period. https...

Re: Questions and Data tracking

Still waiting for an EV with ground clearance that can handle rough unpaved Forest Service roads. Too rich for my blood, but the Jaq I-Pace has 7.8" apparently. If that's not your thing, there should be a plethora of electric pickups in the next 5 year's, meaning they should be able to be had somew...

Re: Battery Degradation vs Battery Limited Warranty

They will charge the labor to Chevrolet if the battery fails. They will charge the labor to me if it doesn't. If my luck holds I'll owe more money.... If they try to charge you and not replace the battery, ask the dealership manager if they REALLY want to be a defendant, along with GM corpora...

Re: Losing range after DC fast charging.

It may be because the cooling system is working to get the battery pack temperature and charging components back down to an optimal level. Bingo! I had a little 1500+ mile weeklong adventure last month involving 30 some fast charges (12 in one day), and the scenario described is exactly what I enco...

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

Ok I'll get the low bypass It's just a friendly recommendation. You could try without and see. Being that the speaker grille/cover just pops off and its 2 screws (I added 2 more :) ), it's not a huge headache to get back in there. It's putting the filter inline, securing and dampening it, in an alr...

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

On the alpine front speakers I thought they already had the bypass built in?? Cool. Most "Coaxial or Multi-way" speakers will have attached capacitors for the attached high frequency spade speakers, but GENERALLY the woofer gets exposure to whatever is "thrown" at it. The reason this could be handy...

Video - The Police Bolt EV

Hey folks, I know a lot of the active members on the forum are EV enthusiasts, so I thought I'd share this video here. Last week I had the opportunity to ask the Sergeant who has driven the Bolt EV in Hyattsville, MD for the past three years, some questions:

Re: Battery Degradation vs Battery Limited Warranty

I traveled 700 miles to Fresno to buy a 2014 with 5900 miles on it hoping everything would be fresh. My first two days are showing about 11.5 KWH on what was a 21 KWH battery :o As soon as the title is transferred I'll be on my way to the dealership to check into the warranty! Yikes! Does it have D...
