Re: New Electrify America stations

Mighty frustrating to say the least! I have had 1 successful charging session in 7 attempts at two different locations. I will retry with mine when Charlotte, NC goes online. My one and only Spark visit summary (Fincastle, VA/Brugh's Mill Country Store): tried one dispenser, didn't work; tried next...

Re: New Electrify America stations

Total cost was $4.43! That's $0.63 per kWh!! At 5.3 mi / kWh, my cost per mile is about $0.12. An ICE getting 25 mpg with gasoline costing $3.00 per gallon would cost..... you guessed it..... $0.12 per mile. Is an EV worth it? Sad and true. It's even costlier with any other EV, being that the Spark...

Re: New Electrify America stations

My Spark EV would not charge at the Sutherlin, Oregon EA station,.... Was this just an unusual case ? Do Spark EVs usually accept the charge from the CCS chargers at ElectrifyAmerica stations ? My one and only charging session with my Spark, at an EA station (second one opened, Fincastle,VA), was v...

Re: Questions and Data tracking

I wonder if dealers even have the proper equipment. Here is a link to the Idaho National Laboratory's battery capacity testing on four 2015 Spark EVs. This is data I believe and it does show battery degradation. https://avt.inl.gov/vehicle-button/2015-chevrolet-spark Very interesting write up by IN...

Re: Battery degredation

My warranty booklet says 35%, hopefully that's not a typo. Any chance you'd post a picture of the front of your warranty manual and where it says 35%? I can not for the life of me find any specific battery degradation warranty info on the web regarding the 2015, and I bought mine second hand (no ma...

Re: A "funny" thing happened on the way to CarMax

Follow up: Spark has been back in my possession for two weeks (had vacation and food poisoning since, eventful). Paid a $116 ransom, in the end, all I received worthwhile was a carwash. Prior to picking up/paying for the vehicle, I spoke with an attorney very familiar with lemon law. GM/Chevrolet h...

Re: L2 portable generator charging

As an aside, picking fruit under hot sun should not be American job, either. I knew some guys who used to work in auto plants. It was mind numbing with some intermission. Pay was artificially high due to UAW. They liked the pay, but hated wasting time and mind. Hopefully automation continues to inc...

Re: Lexani LXTR203 Tires - ~5,000 mile review

Initially, efficiency numbers suffered.... After ~2,000 miles (a month of driving for me), efficiency had gotten better. Occasionally I've seen some trip numbers doing local driving, where wind and elevation aren't really factors, that just boggle the mind 9+mpkwh. On the highway, it still doesn't ...

Re: Battery degredation

Hopefully this one will come in a little higher because if the degradation continues at that rate I won't be able to make my 54 mile round-trip commute in a year or two. ....was hoping the Spark could bridge the gap til then. My wife loves driving the car and has a much shorter commute so we may ke...
