Re: Battery degredation

I've decided I'm going to try to schedule an appointment with a reasonably close dealer that sells Bolts (hoping for better trained techs), to take a look at my Spark. During my first months of ownership, I had occasional idiot lights/DTCs, and having gone back this morning and looking at a Torque P...

Re: Fun with tires at Costco

I just replaced my fronts about a month ago (Lexani something or others). I informed the installer beforehand, to make sure the wheels went back to their respective locations, due to TPMS (I know they can be reprogrammed relatively easily, but I don't have the tool, and the shop was a hole in the wa...

Re: Battery degredation

An update to my above post, about how my 2015 Spark w/40k miles has 14kWh of capacity: I brought it in to a local dealership yesterday and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it but they're going to contact GM engineering. SparkandBolt posted this last thread page and is worth looking ...

Re: Tesla Lite !!

is it that harmful to drive the car gently until the cars TMS gets the battery temp happy? Does it increase degradation? Probably By how much? Probably not much. GM would have likely programmed this into the vehicle otherwise. Over and under certain battery temperatures, charging speed can be reduc...

Re: Torque Pro walkthrough video.

Thanks for the video. No problem, I'm glad you found it useful I searched my phone for .torque folder so I can move the downloaded file, but I cannot find the .torque folder. My memory is absolutely horrendous. If I were to have to reinstall today, I'm sure I'd have a hard time myself. Easiest way ...

Re: Speed Limited to 20 MPH Warning Message -- on the highwa

I should add, even if the battery didn't require cooling, if the system sensed it wasn't working properly, it may do something like this to protect the battery perhaps.

I just hope they get it worked out for you. It is indeed a good and fun car to have.

Re: Battery degredation

The battery capacity was showing 14.2KWH and the behavior of the battery on the instrument cluster and the behavior of the energy usage on the infotainment screen were consistent with this number. After the HPCM2 replacement, torque pro now shows battery capacity as 17.8KWH. ...WTF... I appreciate ...

Re: Speed Limited to 20 MPH Warning Message -- on the highwa

Hey Jack, Bought mine from Carvana also. Only ever had propulsion reduced at extreme low battery. Outdoor temperatures being what they are currently, even if you fast charged once or twice, and drove fast, I'd be surprised if the battery temp got high enough (~85-86°F) to warrant cooing. Just rememb...
