Re: Battery Degradation vs Battery Limited Warranty

just to re-cap its totally normal for 2015 with 34k miles to get 74-72 miles vs 82 in 55-60 degree weather?. I was thinking its the weather but no its consistent 74-72. I don't even know if the battery warranty still applies?. I don't think chevy was honoring 100k when I spoke to them last I believ...

Re: EV Conversion with Spark EV Components?

Thanks TLB. I checked out GGE's other videos as well and subscribed to see more.. I have another question. Can you tell if a Spark has a DCFC by looking at the VIN? Looking to bid on an auction, but they don't ever show a picture of the charge port. Only way you can verify dcfc without seeing the p...

Re: EV Conversion with Spark EV Components?

"Greg Goes Electric" on YouTube has done this with a LEAF into an old Mercedes, and apparently is doing a Spark EV into a MG, https://youtu.be/OAkb6DgqADE .

I keep thinking this would be a good idea, but I would put the Spark's battery equipment into a bigger 350 volt architecture pack (ex TM3 LR).

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

I'm struggling to get the front speaker covers off, anyone have some tips? Thanks. https://youtu.be/Mnn7iWmbv7c https://www.harborfreight.com/trim-and-molding-tool-set-5-pc-64126.html Addendum: Plastics tend to break when flexed too much when cold. When I'm disassembling plastics, I make sure to do...

Re: Place Key in Transmitter Pocket

if anyone has any ideas on further diagnostics it would be much appreciated. Much thanks. Understood. I am not making recommendations, but have you "reset" the 12 volt system? This process entails disconnecting the 12 volt battery, letting it sit for a period of time in this state, touching the two...

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

I've tried using the 5x7 rear speaker adapter posted in this thread, all the screw holes line up but it doesn't seem to have any holes for the 2 plastic posts. Am I missing something? Those are alignment dowels, only applicable to the original equipment. If I was installing speakers, I would cut th...

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

Re: Place Key in Transmitter Pocket

2014 Spark......OK, I'm having the same issue. Neither key fob works.....even with new batteries. I shouldn't have to search out a "h" battery (as posted above), I'm using the 2032 as specified (both check out at 3.23V). The originals were straight 2032's and used to work fine. Something's wrong wi...

Re: Battery Degradation vs Battery Limited Warranty

Sounds like a lot of bother and $150 for 'documented'. I'm going to show this summary and my detailed log to the dealership, and "express" my unhappiness and major concern of the range of the vehicle thus far as well as what may happen in the next few years. We own both a Spark and Volt, so hopeful...
