Re: Battery degredation

A little off topic perhaps...I had been charging to 92-94 miles at 8 ohms on my home EVSE. Last week I checked to see if there were any outstanding recalls on my car and come to find out the Powertrain Control Module 2 needed reprogramming to correct the range estimation. So, the last 2 charges nett...

Re: 2014 Spark EV FS in the Chicago area

I live in AZ and will renew plates in November. On my 2017 Volt and 1998 Land Rover Discovery 1 the state offers a 2 year option. Are you saying with an EV the state offers a 5 year option? I might do that. And, if I read correctly, the plates are much cheaper than ICE. What did you pay for a 5 year...

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

I think the stock speakers do a good enough job. To each his own.

Re: New Owner! Just got a 2015 Spark EV w/ 26000!

Charge it and go. Quit the micro managing. I plug mine in at what ever level it's at. If I'm at 40 miles soc and the next day I'll need more than that I charge it. Has always gone over 90+. I just need it to work. I would like to think that GM would let us know if we charge to full to many times. So...

Re: Not charging

How did you determine the voltage "seemed to be fine"? I don't know if putting the key in the column triggers something to make the car start or what you say is true, putting the fob closer to enact engagement. Also, why should the alarm go off? Odd.

Re: Not charging

Not sure why opening the door triggers the car to accept charging...Chevy must have stolen some code from Tesla. Also, the other day hit the unlock button on the fob and nothing happened...battery dead in fob. So I hit the button that releases the key, insert key in door, turn key and....the alarm g...

Have always plugged in at night, the dash light turns orange, wait a few seconds, the horn beeps and the charge begins. last night however nothing happened when I plugged in, dash light didn't go to orange...nothing. I pulled the cable out and reinser...

Re: 2014 vs 2015

I agree. I haven't driven a 2014 but have a 2015 for the last 3 months. Takeoff from a standing start is amazing. Torque steer pulls a little to the left, best be paying attention because it will put you back in the seat. Very quick, steering is spot on, handles fine for what the tires will support....
