In my experience it accounts for both just fine.
As I regen both the % AND the kWh go back
Huh, strange. I know it doesn't rewind the kWh if you plug it in and don't fully charge it. But I might be wrong about the regen.

Re: Battery degredation

Just for reference, how does this compare to 'On Screen' Leaf page data for battery capacity? You might already know this, but I just wanted to note for others reading that the Energy Consumption screen in the car is not an accurate of the battery capacity because it accounts for regenerated energy...

Re: Battery degredation

I really find this interesting. Do you charge to 100% each time you charge and what type of charging do you mainly use - L1, L2 or DCFC? So far, the HV battery degradation rate in my 2016 Spark EV is about 1 kWh every 4000 miles. You lost 1.1 kWh in 4200 miles which equates to 1.02 kWh per 4000 mil...

Re: Battery degredation

My 2015 with 44300 miles is now down to 13.7 KWh. I brought it in to the dealership last month to see if there was anything wrong. They kept it for a couple weeks but couldn't find anything aside from the A/C being slightly overcharged. When I bought the car last September it was at about 40100 mile...

Re: 2014 Spark EV down to 15.3kWh, time to take it to the dealer?

I'm not sure if it's a hard rule of 35% degradation = replacement. The dealership I took my spark to said they send the info to GM engineering and they decide whether to replace the battery. The dealership has replaced 2 spark batteries and for one of them, GM called the owner and told them to bring...

Re: Battery degredation

SparkandBolt posted this last thread page and is worth looking into. I may contact a bolt dealer to see their willingness to check into it. "Tech. details: Tech found code P0D5700 stored in system, found bulletin with doc# 3225327 available. Tech followed the diagnosis chart system and performed te...

Re: Battery degredation

An update to my above post, about how my 2015 Spark w/40k miles has 14kWh of capacity: I brought it in to a local dealership yesterday and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it but they're going to contact GM engineering. The tech I spoke to said they had replaced 2 Spark EV batteries ...

Re: Battery degredation

I recently bought a 2015 with DCFC and 40k miles. The GOM range looked good when I bought it and the car was in good shape so I assumed the battery had to have a decent amount of life left. However the GOM range dropped quite a bit as soon as I started driving, and I recently downloaded the PIDs fo...
