Re: Insurance

We have state farm as well with full coverage. Our 2017 Volt insurance is lower than our 2016 Spark EVs insurance. It must have something to do with crash ratings. We were coming from 20 year old cars with just liability though so it is a bit of sticker shock.

Re: 2016 vs 2014

I think we need to get NORTON an OBD2 reader and Torque Pro so we can compare apples to apples.

Re: How to Measure Battery Health?

RSC is correct. Bolt PIDS loaded into Torque Pro for Android phones or Bolt PIDS loaded into Enginelink for iOS and a compatible OBD2 reader. They read the same capacity but Torque pro allows you to read out to the 13th decimal point if you have it setup that way.

This one is used and has a few extra parts but is a bit cheaper: https://www.iaai.com/vehicledetails/365 ... owNumber=0

Are there any error messages when charging with 110?

Re: 2016 vs 2014

The larger final drive would make me think the 2015-6's are faster, but probably not by much.

It will be interesting to see what you find out! Do you think adjusting this curve will get the traction control to not cut power to the wheels?

Re: Electronic Parking Brake not working - 2015 Spark EV

When we had to pass inspection in our old car we had to hit the parking brake and then hit the accelerator. When you hit the accelerator in the Spark EV the parking brake automatically releases. I guess I'm just curious of how they are testing that this keeps the car from rolling?

Re: Considering a used Spark EV

I would go for the Bolt. The quality of how the Bolt is built feels much higher than that of the Spark.
