Re: Buying a 2014 Spark EV with 61K miles. DCFC

The bluetooth OBD2 Adapter and program for your phone are a small price to pay to get the accurate battery capacity for each car you look at in a matter of seconds so you can compare them and not have to guess. I have both of the below adapters (one for each car) and I have Torque Pro ($4.95 Android...

Re: Official All Weather Cargo Mat

All of them will fit but the drivers one. The anchoring holes are in different locations because of the box under the seat (I believe this is the Onstar module). Not having the drivers one anchored is dangerous as it could slide around while you are driving. I had considered getting the weathertech ...

Re: Oil Leak!!!!

A set of vehicle ramps is a good investment if you have any other cars that need oil changes. They are safer than using a jack and jack stands and it's quicker because you don't have to take the wheels off. Maybe a neighbor may have a set you could borrow? I did some more digging and found the proce...

Re: Oil Leak!!!!

This is the Bolt motor and it has two drain plugs and a fill plug. (Video for reference) https://youtu.be/APhRPSdmdmk?t=405 I don't think you're going to find a dipstick but maybe the video can help you look for the drain plugs. Maybe one came loose? You may also check the boots on your axles. If th...

Re: Oil Leak!!!!

The only oil in the car is in the drive unit. I don't know that there is a way to check besides where it is filled (no dipstick) I think it is similar to checking a rear differential but I think it is blocked by a lot of plastic shielding under the car. Are you positive it is from your car?

Re: Want to buy a Spark EV with 96K miles. Bad idea?

$4k seems fair according to KBB assuming it has not been in an accident and is fairly good shape. Fully charge it and make sure the GOM range will work for you. If your route is on the highway vs. slower roads makes a difference. If you can buy a bluetooth OBDII adapter a program for your phone and...

Re: rear airbag removal?

You can push the wiring under this without removing it. I had to sort of pull it back and forth like floss to get it to slide down and out of the way.

Re: Squeaky car when going over bumps

I have not dug into this car as much as I have previous cars I've owned but I would venture to guess that it's probably an anti-swaybar bushing or endlink bushing. This probably isn't an issue besides being annoying. If you begin to hear a rattle though the endlink needs replaced. It's possible to s...

Re: Phone holder ?

This one works great, with one caveat. It comes with a metal disk you need to attach to your phone for best magnetic grip. I didn't care, I bought a cheap Android to only use in the car with Torque Pro, so I didn't care. Works great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071R1DQBK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_sear...
