There is a somewhat portable DC quick charger that charges at around 10kW. Weighs about 40 lbs and can fit in the trunk of the Spark EV. The transition from regenerative braking to disc brakes is most scary when driving downhill in the rain on stock tires. The car loves to hydroplane when the disc brakes kick in. Reviving an old thread but it helped me also. You can upgrade wheels and tires to different widths without the need for spaces and without rubbing issues as long as you compensate with the offset.
