Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

I was poking around on Plugshare the other day, and it looks like nearly every EA station in the Northeast uses Efacec chargers. A fix would be great, because there's actually enough chargers around to travel a bit, even in a Spark.

Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

EA still hasn't gotten ahold of me to do any testing. I tried to charge again today, but still no luck. I hope the fact that I'm slowly tanking their Plugshare rating gets their attention.

Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

If your talking about the ones in fredonia Walmart they do that same thing with my spark. Couple places I use up your way is Joe basil in depew not a e/a but it works if you need it. Fredonia would be the location I was talking about. And Joe Basil is actually the Chevy dealer I mentioned using pre...

Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

I talked to Electrify America yesterday, and they will likely be arranging a time to do some testing with my car. They were also surprisingly receptive to my suggestion to install a 50kw charger at each location, adding that it would also be useful for people who don't want to charge at faster rate...

Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

Here was my email to Electrify America. Chargers: 100269-01 through 04 I have been unable to successfully charge my 2016 Chevy Spark at any of the 4 chargers at that location. I did talk to someone at customer service (who was extremely helpful and friendly, by the way), but was still unable to get ...

Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

Hopefully that means they'll have a fix for the Efacec chargers as well. I would suggest you either call Electrify America or log onto Electrify America's website and enter a complaint about the problems you are having with the Efacec chargers. Be specific in describing exactly what happens when yo...

Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

The consistency with which it fails makes me think it's not an "almost working" type of problem. It starts to initialize, tries to latch, fails to latch, and shows an error on the screen seemingly the exact same way every time. Either the connector is just not capable of latching in correctly, or it...

Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

I tried one of the Efacec chargers again today. I looked closer at my charger port, and it's definitely the correct shape. I added some dielectric grease, and pulled up to the charger at a 45 degree angle so that the connector had no twist. It definitely felt like it clicked in easier and more soli...
