Re: Bolt "Fire Sale!"

There are couple of 2017 Bolt around here for $16k, no sales tax on EV. had I seen that a few month sooner I might have gone for it. Don't get me wrong, I love my 2016 Spark EV I bought back in August but a Bolt I can keep for the next decade. I drove the Bolt we have at work and find it very functi...

Re: Programming a new Remote Keyless Entry Fob?

So, does anyone know the procedure they used? The dealer I bought from ordered another one for me delivered but they are like 50 miles away and I figure I would have to give detailed instruction for a local dealer to program it.

Re: Sudden loss of capacity

The 2016 I bought in August used to show 80-85 miles range and now shows 60-68. I garage the car and the weather here in the Pacific NW is mild with daytime high in the high 40s-low 50s now. Yup, it's a bit of concern but I'll see what the next summer brings. I do have a ICE car that I take for long...

Re: About to purchase a 2015....

Yup, sounds like a good decision. 65 miles just cutting it a bit close. If you don't driving in the slow lane. Maybe a 2018 LEAF. I think they got 150 miles range. Good point about electricity price as well. Here in the NW US, electricity is cheap at about 10 cent/kwh so I drive my little Spark as m...

Re: New owner thoughts

I checked the low-beam pattern on the LED retrofit tonight. I did two ways, one is to compare the lights on the wall against another car with OEM light and another is just to see the pattern as I drive home at light. Well, I see no issues at all. The low-beam cut off very nicely on the wall and fall...

Re: New owner thoughts

I'll take another look at the light pattern. I'll compare to my Equnoix with OEM HID side by side and report back. I'm not super worried if they are a bit different but if it's shining light onto on-coming traffic then ya, that's problem. The led didn't give me much pause because I thought only HID ...

New owner thoughts

Well, owned my 2016 baby-blue Spark EV for about 3 weeks now. Love it but I did notice a few things so I thought I share those with you folks and get some feedback. First the Good stuff: Of course, the speedy response and acceleration. Yes, no fill-ups Price, I got a great deal on it, less than $9k ...

Re: Insurance

Thanks for the feedback. I'll get some quotes.

Rates around the area has been rising quite a lot, I think more due to our area than some general nationwide trend.
