Re: I pulled the trigger! New to us chevy spark

Thanks for the note. I've looked around, using an charging locating app, for the high current dc chargers and there are none close to me, I'm in ohio, so unless something changes, that's not going to be an issue. Found a lot of chargers, mostly level II near hotels/motels and apparently they are fo...

Re: I pulled the trigger! New to us chevy spark

Gang.... I've wanted an electric car since the days of the 'voltswagen' and the boatload of flooded lead acid batteries stuffed inside everywhere. Today, my wife and I drove home our new to us 2016 Electric Spark. It has 9600 miles on the clock I've driven small cars all my life, from VWs to Ford P...

Re: Check Engine Light - Code P0713

One question I do have relates to what, if anything, these bogus temperature readings have on the car's performance. That temperature is monitored for a reason. It may be that it is only a warning system for when the cooling system or oil supply is leaking out and getting hot. A way of saying "stop...

Re: Check Engine Light - Code P0713

Clearly the temp sensor or the wiring has something wrong. I doubt it is a serious problem. But if you have a warranty,, why not! :) The next time the code pops up, I will have the dealer take care of it as long as it does not cost me anything but time. I use TorquePro to monitor the temperature be...

Re: Check Engine Light - Code P0713

Darn light came on again today. TorquePro showed the transmission temperature was -10 deg. C! It seems this is only happening in very hot weather. I cleared the code which reset the light and, if it comes on again - which it will - the car is going to the dealer. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Re: New Electrify America stations

I found two Electrify America 150 kw stations located in Laguna Village, Sacramento, CA that actually worked for my 2016 Spark EV. Yesterday, I tried an EA 150 kw station located at the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore, CA. A Bolt was charging at a 350 kw station and it was working fine. T...

Re: New owner

I disagree about L. When you’re in D you only get access to full regen when you hit the brake pedal we find it too hard to find the sweet spot on the brake pedal between when regen ends and when mechanical braking begins, causing us to waste energy on mechanical braking when we were hitting the bra...

Re: New Electrify America stations

Mighty frustrating to say the least! I have had 1 successful charging session in 7 attempts at two different locations. I will retry with mine when Charlotte, NC goes online. My one and only Spark visit summary (Fincastle, VA/Brugh's Mill Country Store): tried one dispenser, didn't work; tried next...

Re: Battery degredation

Just bought a 2015, so I have another data point on battery degradation. I have 27k miles and 14.8 kWh battery capacity based on torque pro. I'm definitely a little disappointed with that figure. There are many of us Spark EV drivers who are experiencing HV battery degradation, myself included. But...
