Fun with tires at Costco

Needing new front tires for my '14 Spark EV I started looking around on line. Lo and behold Costco still has 185 Bridgestone Ecopias. I have these tires on now and they're OK for me (much better that the Ecopia 110's that came on the car) so I had them order some and went in to have them installed t...

Re: 2018 Nissan Leaf

It depends. What's the real range? What's the real price? Whats the styling? And make that in person please as Nissan is rather hit or miss stylistically these days. And most importantly, what's the thermal management system for the battery?

Then we'll see.

Re: Insanely high insurance on Spark EV??!@!

As Smokey Robinson sang, "You Better Shop Around".

A '14 Spark EV and a '17 Hyundai Elantra GT, full coverage with low deductibles and high limits, clean records, 825-850 credit, suburbs of Portland, $531 for six months thru Progressive.

State Farm is telling you to bend over.

Re: Future battery replacement

Grey market would only make sense if it's profitable. Given that there aren't many SparkEV on the road, I don't think there will be many options without costing a bundle. Sure, there might be some rebuilt options from shady shops like my experience with Prius battery, but given that there are far f...

$1561.46 the EVSE for those with more money than sense! And I contend that my Bosch has a fairly minimalist design.

Re: OnStar and MyChevrolet App Functionality

While it was nice to be able to check the state of charge through the app the features I lost were not worth anything close to $25. I just don't see on star as anything more than fluff.

Re: Noises at shut down

The noises are absolutely normal. What's really interesting is to be working in the garage when the car is plugged in and charging. Every so often you can hear pumping and other noises, they're good noises as the Spark's thermal management keeps the battery young longer.

Re: Question about potential spark

It's definitely a spark ev. .. 1. Have laid eyes upon it's charge port? 2. Does it have DCFC? 3. Do you know how to tell if a car salesman is lying? 4. Did you drive it? !!! 1. Yes. 2. Yes! 8-) 3. No. 4. Not yet. #3 -- Old joke but with more than a grain of truth: Their lips are moving. :twis...
