Took my car to the dealer and they were able to figure out what's wrong.

The receptacle on the car was interfering with the plug so they had to file down the corners.

Another thing to think about regarding the concept of an 80-mile EV. I think that we're never going to see more range than the Model S (~300 miles). There's just no use case for it.
