Re: OBD2 Scanner and Software for 2015 Chevy Spark

We put a copy of the Spark EV .csv file in the "Files" section of the Southeast U.S. Chevy Spark EV Owners / Fans FB page. It's a closed group, so you'll have to join to gain access.

Sold my Spark EV

I sold my Spark EV last month. Sad times, indeed! I've moved on to a Model 3, and it is terrific! I do miss my Spark EV, though. What a great little city car! In my opinion, the best city car bar none! Great power, nimble and easy to park, and as long as it has CCS and a decent DCFC network, it's al...

Re: Battery Degradation vs Battery Limited Warranty

Hi All, Just wanted to share some info. Those of you using torque pro to monitor your Spark, there are Bolt PIDS available now, instead of using VOLT PIDS. Here is a link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sY5n8WFu52U6a4_mg3MdcGcmDk3scAP8_muSy-BlXPc/edit#gid=1125667062 I installed the Bolt PI...

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

For those interested ,I made some 3D printable 4x6 adapters to put 5x7 speakers in the rear deck. (BTW, they are screw with no mods required so even if you lease you can undo this addition and put back to stock at the end of your lease.) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2938980 To adapt your rear ...

Re: Trailer hitch with lighting cable installed for 350$ can

Just a FYI, I went last fall to a trailer hitch dealer here in Quebec , Canada to have a removable trailer hitch installed for 350$ , including all lighting harnesses. Test drove my 2014 Spark with a 4 x 8 trailer full of wood , and lost only 30% capacity on the ride. What an amazing little car! JF...

Re: Remove the interior cover panel from the rear hatch

Oops, I accidently posted this same note in buying and leasing. I doubt that will do any good. Try again. Has anyone removed the interior cover panel from the rear hatch (mine is a 2014 Spark EV)? I'd love to know how. I want to install a backup camera in the correct location just below the lock, s...

Re: New owner of one of the oldest SPARK EVs around

Outside Atlanta? Join our EV Club of the South! I use BringGo in my 2014 Spark EV all the time. Here's how I have it setup: an old LG Nexus 5 smartphone resides in the glovebox, connected via USB cable that I snaked behind the glovebox behind the center stack and into the area where the USB port re...

Re: New owner of one of the oldest SPARK EVs around

Your range should get a lot better when it warms up. Being just outside Atlanta, the winter is relatively mild. It has been in the low 60s the last couple of days and, in my first battery capacity test, I drove somewhat gingerly. It gave me a range of 73 miles this morning (it conditioned itself ye...

Re: Front tire life... how long did yours last?

Changed my fronts at about 17000 miles. Put on Ecopia EP422+ tires from Costco. Much better than the stock tires! I've especially noticed the improvement in slippery conditions. Thanks for the post. I am considering replacing the front tires on my 2014 and 2015 Spark EVs with the Ecopia EP422+ too....

Re: Fake noise maker

Oct 20, 2017, the 12V battery died in my 2014 Spark EV, taking the negative battery cable with it. It was towed to my trusted Chevy dealer and I was told the parts had to be found first then ordered. Would take a few days. They gave me a Suburban rental to drive. I was told it's covered under warran...
