Re: California Clean Air Vehicle Decals

If you had stickers issued in 2017 or 2018, you are eligible for red stickers. Otherwise your stickers will expire at the end of the year. The DMV should send you a letter ether way to inform you.

Re: 100,000 miles on Spark

A123 also built the batteries for the Chevy Volt and I have not read any complaints about battery degradation in Chevy Volts Agreed. The part of that battery available for use (due to GM being super conservative) may be playing a big role in how well they're doing. No dcfc probably helps matters as...

Re: Battery too low to fast charge?

I’ve fast charged before when it said “low” on the GOM, I don’t know what the exact SOC was, but it did start and charge as normal. I have had a failure to start charging from DCFC, the car was being towed on a dolly, with one of the safety chains slightly brushing the ground. I realized it was affe...

Re: First public 350kw charger opens today!!!

Doubt these cars can pull more than 125 amps. 50 kW @ 400 V / 125 A 49 kW @ 392 V / 125 A 48 kW @ 384 V / 125 A ... Whatever voltage the car will allow 125 amps is probably the limit. These are some of the first CCS cars (BMW i3 being the other one), I don't think they would be built above the spec ...

Tesla SuperChargers have been 120 kW for several years. 90kW back in 2012. Of course, not public if you don't own a Tesla...

Re: Long Term Storage

For 2015-2016's it appears that the TMS can run with the car off and unplugged, but it might be only in "extreme" temps http://www.mychevysparkev.com/forum/vie ... hp?p=18673

I can confirm that the Spark EV can be put into storage mode:

Re: Long Term Storage

I'll see if that mode works later today, the Spark EV is mentioned as an applicable vehicle so I would be surprised if it didn't work. Procedure: To turn the Transport Mode On/Off, it will be necessary to start the vehicle, activate the hazard flashers, press the brake pedal (automatic transmission)...

Re: Low-clearance snow chains - anybody had success?

I have 195 tires all around (stock is 185 in the front)... I don't think I have any rubbing, so in theory those chains should be ok.

Anyone else run 195's in the front that knows they don't rub?

All about tire sizes

Re: Where do we all live? Sparks are dispersing.

Not a ghost believer here, but... Taking a new tech car which has a (individual) history of not being reliable.. To place where there's probably a lot less dealer support... Sounds like a massive headache waiting to happen. I don't care if it's a bunch of nuts, bolts, sheet metal and a bigass Li-ion...
