Re: Unable to charge - Possible EVSE problem

Meh. I'm still getting 18kwh out of the pack. At least that's what my energy consumption shows when the guessometer hits "LOW" I was unable to pull codes using generic OBDII. Onstar would tell me one month I had a P1EC4, next month was "green" month after that was P1EC4. I finally took it to the ste...

Re: Unable to charge - Possible EVSE problem

I think onstar is able to pull codes that don't trigger a check light. They keep telling me I have a P1EC4 and take it to the stealer. No light, nothing from generic OBDII.

Stealer sometimes is able to pull codes.

Re: Stray AC voltage while charging?

I thought the EVSE had a GFCI in it that would cut power if ground fault occurred?

Re: Is it ok to full-charge with a 23kw rate on a EVSE??

Yes should be ok. There is one nearby I've used a few times. Takes twice as long but it's still 7 times faster than level 2 or 30 times faster than 8amp@120v.

Re: Dashcams

Trim isn't too hard to remove. Fuse panel is below at the knee.

I ran some wires down there and used a tap in fuse for my autodim mirror.

Re: Level 2 Charger Install

The EVSE is only going to be supplying a 15 amp signal. There's something wrong if your drawing 40 amps...

Re: Level 2 Charger Install

Tony, It looks like there is a neutral and ground. I agree with 14-50 advertising a 50 amp but it's at most a 30 amp circuit. I think he could have gotten away with just using a dryer cord instead of rewiring the outlet.... Mike, You changed the breaker to a 20 amp? if that's the case you should be ...

Re: To trade in Spark or not?

You don't have to wait 7.5 years. The rebate had a stipulation of minimum ownership length. As always, there is the policy and what they actually do in practice. Rebate recipients who do not retain the eligible vehicle for the full 30-month ownership or lease period will be required to reimburse ARB...

Re: To trade in Spark or not?

I don't think you qualify for the state EV incentive since you don't satisfy the 30 month ownership requirement.
