Creaking/popping noise coming from the front

I've recently developed a creaking/popping noises from the front of the car. It's usually 2 or 3 faint "pops" at acceleration from a top and the same "pops" when braking. Didn't find anything on this forum, but on some Volt and Bolt forums, owners have had similar issues and fixes (or just diagnoses...

Re: How many miles on your Saprk EV

Bought new in April 2016, now with 41k as my daily commuter with about 40 miles driven each day. Slight capacity degradation; was getting ~16.5 kWh last year; now between 15-16 kWh.

Would like to keep it...but for how long? At what number of miles before no-one buys it?

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

I installed a Rockford Fosgate P300 powered sub 2 summers ago and can honestly say it's my favorite modification on the Spark. Nice to rock out and feel the sub on my daily 45 minute commute. Install was super easy; just tap power and pull line level inputs from the rear speakers. And it's slim enou...

Re: Front tire life... how long did yours last?

I got about 26k miles before actually replacing the front tires (though probably about 4k of that was on some Yoko S's). I originally bought some General Altimax's but never installed them after reading so many reviews on these Antares tires from Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Antares-Ingens-A1...

Re: Installing Bosch charger in Oregon for tax credit

Another update (this time not so good). We bought a Volt (as a companion to the Spark) back in July and have been using the Bosch charger on it ever since. Yesterday, the charger started blinking between Red and Green, and did not charge the car. I tried resetting the breaker and turning off the uni...

Re: Request for Meetup/test drive in Dallas

  That's crazy!! I need to do some hunting. And I thought I got mine for cheap! Bought new in April 2016 for 17995 (no taxes in Oregon), minus the 7500 federal credit, and got 0% financing. Seriously, an awesome, underrated sleeper EV car. If I could keep it for 5+ years I would. I jus...

Re: So I bought a Volt...what I think so far....

Thanks Scrambler for the feedback. A big reason to getting the Volt was to have a car that will go longer distances while having a more comfortable ride, and I found this 2013 for just 12k, which was another big reason as it was fairly inexpensive. I think a 2016/2017 will be overkill for a seldom u...
