Re: Stabilitrak seems over-sensitive? Any way to disable?

The software for the stability control and braking system was developed in the US. That has nothing to do with this, but just FYI. TLDR: There should be a way to disable the ESC because a human is better than a machine at detecting what is going on with the shitty rear suspension on the Spark EV. Un...

"Jdapter" or "Jdapter Stub"? Appreciably different products, in my opinion.

Re: Suspension to improve handling

It would be great to have a stiffer rear anti-roll bar...if it weren't for the extremely intrusive electronic stability control. I never figured out how to disable it (above 30 mph), and more inner rear tire lifting in the corners will just amplify the effects. Please keep us posted. The more we hun...

Re: Videos of Sparky Flexing Its Torque

How did you do this? Seriously, what procedure allowed a prolonged two wheel burnout?! Traction control off, Stability control off, SPORT mode, Low "gear". No special prep. Stock Ecopias at 35 PSI, cold. This is extremely hard for me to believe. I've hooned around a LOT with my Spark EV, and absolu...

Re: Take out the backseats?

What is "noticeably better acceleration" ? (specs, please) 10-60 mph acceleration reduced by > 0 % and < 3 %, +/- 1%. Bryce The Spark EV has a 0-60 time of 7.6 seconds. 1% of that is 0.076 seconds. 3% would be 0.208 seconds. Personally, I wouldn't spend any time on mods to make my car accelerate to...

Re: Automatic Locking / Unlocking?

The Spark EV is like the first model year Volt. It has "remote keyless entry" and "passive start". That means you have to use the fob (remote) to unlock the car, but you can start the car by merely having the fob in the area. The second model year Volt got "passive entry" to go along with "passive s...

Re: Take out the backseats?

Fold the rear seats down and the noise increase is obvious, basically the same as removing them. Try that to see if you can tolerate the sound. The seat backs remove in a few seconds once you figure out the process. You have to tilt the seat down, push the seat back towards the outside of the car, a...
