Re: 6.6kW charging

It has taken years but the CCS Fast Charging is very good on the SPARK EV and Bolt Electrics from GM. The L2 on the Spark EV is still just 3.3 kW but is not bad. I just ordered a SETEC 10 kW CCS portable Fast Charger. I will try it on the many free public J-1772 ports in the Phoenix AZ Area. I also ...

Re: Spark, iMiEV, or Leaf

The LEAF has CHAdeMO DC Fast charge the SPARK EV has CCS. So be sure which you really want many new cars and sites are all going to CCS. Like 500 locations across the US for ElectrifyAmwrica.com I'd go with CCS. FOR SAFETY the SPARK EV is tops. MiEV is very weak. Low range very sub standard from own...

Re: 6.6kW effective charging?

I read that the LEAF went from 3 kW to 6 by placing two 3 kW chargers in parallel. That doubles the charging speed. I'm not sure how much space the SPARK EV has to do that but a salvage yard SPARK EV could provide a 2nd on board charger at low cost to try it. I bought a SALVAGE 2015 SPARK EV for $4K...

Re: Battery Degradation vs Battery Limited Warranty

I just took my 2015 SPARK EV in for the battery capacity test. The dealer had no idea. After 3 days I got them to call their tech assistance and they had them pull a file via the OBDII. I should get my results next week. On my Energy Details screen I would see on 13 kWh before it went into low power...

Re: In Phoenix Area, Determined to Have a Spark EV

I live in the Phoenix Chandler area. The Spark EV does great in the HEAT, no battery degradation at all in 3 years. I also head up the Phoenix Electric Auto Association 501C3 non profit. We meet in downtown Phoenix at the Unexpected art gallery every last Saturady of the month. 10 AM to NOON. Drop i...

Re: Looking to buy a 2014 Spark in blue with quick-charge.

most dealers are very bad about posting if it has fast charging. Ask them to post a picture of the charge port when it's open. The orange Fast Charge port on the bottom is easy to spot. Some SPARK EV even have a back up camera and or navigation but it seems rare on the ones I have looked at and boug...

Re: DC fast charging

we don't have any Efacec DC Fast Chargers in Arizona or I try one and see if it works with our 2015 SPARK EV. They should have a contact number on their website.

I'd start here =
Efacec USA, inc.
Website: www.efacec.com
Email:usa.mail@efacec.com
Tel.:+1 770 446 8854

Re: DC fast charging

I have used NRG DC Fast Chargers with 3 different SPARK EV vehicles with no problem. The equipment was ABB and also a BTC power station. Friends have also changed their SPARK EVs with no problem. I would suggest you try other types of DC Fast Chargers and if none work it's your car. If others works ...
