Re: Torque pro battery capacity guess...

I recommend getting a smart trickle charger (12V auto battery type) an trickle charging your accessory battery overnight. The car will not work if the 12V battery goes south, and if the car sat around for a long period of time the 12V battery might have been damaged. I have this one and love it : ht...

Re: Charging 101

You got it!

I would advise NOT always charging to 100% - only charge to full on days that you think you will need the extra range. I try to charge to 70-80% most days (I do that by manually unplugging the car).

Re: Do you have a Reddit account?

Me being the old fogey, I thought that reddit was a "now, now, now" medium (random stuff posted, then it falls off a cliff and disappears), and not much historical info available.

I'll have to try it then. (and judge it harshly  )

Re: How to lower kwh

I have a 2016 that I've had for 48 hours. So far, simply driving around town has drained the battery. I haven't even gone far out, but it looks like I'm using 11 Kwh. I've had the radio and air on, but it seems like this shouldn't be causing the drain. I don't want to be limited to driving within 2...

Re: Torque pro battery capacity guess...

A 45-50 mph expressway?? Where I live in metropolitan Atlanta (outside city limits), 45mph is most town roads, 55mph is expressway/highway and 70+mph posted is interstate. Add 5-10 mph for actual speeds vs posted. The longer I have my Spark EV the more I realize how I drive isn't as important as th...

Re: Torque pro battery capacity guess...

I think you made the right choice. Earlier this year I bought a 2015 with 12K miles on it, and it had 17 kWh left in battery capacity (according to Torque Pro). During the warm months, I am getting about 100 miles range (around town, including 45-50 mph expressways). I think it's worth the extra $50...

Re: Two battery questions

Hi all, two questions: 1) When I pull into work, the car will say I have consumed 2.7 kWh, I plug into the ChargePoint charger, and it takes 4.4 kWh to recharge. Why the diff? 2) If I use 50% of my battery capacity per the dash, and that represents 5 kWh, does that indicate that my battery pack onl...

Re: Check engine light P1E00

Something wonky on your Spark EV? Test (voltage AND load test) the 12V accessory battery first! And invest in a good, SMART (does de-sulfation and auto-stop-charge) trickle charger, and use it once or twice a month, overnight. Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

Ughh, what an annoyance! Thanks for your work here, I wonder what next steps are? I think it is going to require Spark EV drivers with DCFC to try EA chargers and report any unsatisfactory charging experiences directly to EA. Spark EVs with DCFC are few in number compared with other EVs like Nissan...
