Range--No problem!

Yesterday was one of those days that should test an EV. My little Spark EV came through like a champ. Morning: A meeting 25 miles south from my home plus errands while I was there, at least 60 miles total Afternoon: Visited my mom, 20 more miles Evening: A party in the country 25 miles from home, ab...

Chevy Availability in California

I live in the Central Coast area of California, and there are no Spark EV's at Chevy dealerships in this area. I had to drive 77 miles to get mine. Now the only one near us is 90 miles away. I'm trying to let everyone I know who has been interested in an electric car about this little car--it is so ...

Re: 120 Charging time

Gra makes a good point. Does heating take more power than cooling? I'm hoping that keeping my car in the garage will minimize the amount of defrosting I have to do. By the time I drive home, frost isn't a problem. I'm also looking forward to those heated seats. :) But what has really amazed me is ho...

Re: 120 Charging time

When I got my EV, I thought I was going to have to run out ASAP and get a 240 charger. I'm finding my 120 charger is taking care of me just fine. I have a short commute, 12 miles round trip. Add a few errands and I probably drive 30 miles a day average. With this little car giving me a consistent ra...

Re: Suggestions: Dear Chevrolet

The only thing I've really missed so far is a little drawer in the dash area to throw my change, so I always have change for parking meters or an emergency cup of coffee.

Re: Spark trip, efficiency, and range logs

Hi, I posted most of this on another thread, but I'll cut and paste some of it here because it fits this thread. I had to go 77 miles away from my home to buy my Spark EV which meant I tested its range on day one. I drove 80 actual miles and used 73 range miles of the Spark. Of course I was driving ...

Re: Chevy Spark EV Charges in 20 Minutes

Though a faster charge time would be nice, for my lifestyle my Spark EV is going to serve me just fine. I drive 5 miles to work (no electric plugs there) and maybe run some errands after work before going home. On a typical work day, I probably drive a maximum of 15 miles. I park my car in the garag...

Re: Any Spark EV owners yet?

Got mine yesterday. I had to go 77 miles away from my home to get it which meant I tested its range on day one. I drove 80 actual miles and used 73 range miles of the Spark. Of course I was driving like a snail and taking my foot off the gas on downhills. Thank goodness I was on 4-lane highways so n...
