Re: New Spark EV Owner in DFW

Hey everyone! I am a brand new owner of a Spark EV in Addison, TX - a Northern suburb of Dallas. :)
Congratulations on your new Spark! Sounds like the perfect match for you and your fiancé! Good for CarMax for coming through for you so well.

Re: Spark misses another accident, thankfully

Do we have the safest car on the road? Or does someone have to survive a roll-over first to make that determination?
I'm not sure about the safest, but it sure is one of the nimblest. :D

As far as color, my little Spark is an electric blue.

Re: jump starts?

Worst case scenario:
Somehow you are at a distant location. Your Spark EV and a van full of orphans and nuns have to get off the volcano NOW and the van's battery is pooping out.
 Isn't that when we call MacGyver?!?!?

Re: jump starts?

In fact skip the whole idea, unless you have to be the hero and AAA can't come to your location.
Make up a story about how the Spark can be damaged or something.....
Very sage advice, Norton. As much as I would like to help someone in need, I would be very concerned about hurting my Spark.

Spark misses another accident, thankfully

My SparkEV came through for me again today. I was on the up side of a hillside trying to turn across traffic and waiting for oncoming traffic coming down the hill to clear. My blinker was going, and I had the brakes on so the car coming from behind should have seen I was stopped. But no! All of sudd...

Fun video! Love the sound of his car starting. It does sound a bit old fashioned. :D

Re: If you're sick of handholding a newbie, please don't rea

I would guess that the Spark EV, is not as "safe". (It's a smaller car, and generally speaking I believe smaller cars do not fare as well in crash tests). Sparks achieved "Acceptable" in crash tests vs. the unacceptable other cars of its sized received. I'm a firm believer that one has to take into...

Re: If you're sick of handholding a newbie, please don't rea

Your post came at a time when I was thinking of writing a post regarding the value of the original 2014 Sparks without DCFC of which I own one. Here’s my thoughts: DON’T PASS UP WHAT MIGHT BE A GREAT, PERFECT DEAL FOR YOU! Did I shout that loud enough? :) You have to analyze your driving and car sit...
