Re: If you're sick of handholding a newbie, please don't rea

Your post came at a time when I was thinking of writing a post regarding the value of the original 2014 Sparks without DCFC of which I own one. Here’s my thoughts: DON’T PASS UP WHAT MIGHT BE A GREAT, PERFECT DEAL FOR YOU! Did I shout that loud enough? :) You have to analyze your driving and car sit...

Re: A Stupid Newbie Question

I've also run into this when driving on a very bright day if I'm driving in an area where I go from very bright sunlight to deep shade under overhanging trees or along hills that block the sunlight.

Re: Me and the Spark's dad at the Smithsonian

Some Spark EV driver should have GM EV2 or the like as their vanity plate.
My license plate was my homage to the EV1.

Re: Spousal obstacle

Okay, this is coming from a woman. Get her into one and let her drive it. Both of my sister-in-laws wanted one after driving mine. They were surprised at the comfort and roominess and found it fun to drive.

If she doesn't like it after testing it, you might be sunk. ;)

Re: New guy, many questions. Reliability??

I agree with Nozferatu. The last thing I would call my car is "bug-riddled." Except for the AC not working as it should for a short time (a quick software update fixed it), I haven't had a single problem. I've had mine for over two years and have 19,072 miles on it. I continue to absolutely love my ...

Re: Overcoming wife's safety fears

There is no guaranteeing safety, but the Spark has one of the best ratings for compact cars. I often feel large-sized vehicles give drivers a false sense of safety. They have so much mass that when things start going wrong, there is no pulling them back from the brink. I had a semi truck pull unexpe...

Re: Happy 2nd Birthday, Little Spark

Thanks for the information Zoomit. Very appreciated. I hate to ask, but what size screw did you pick up? If it wasn't too big, it's very possible your tire shop could have repaired it without you having to replace two tires. Of course, they'd much prefer to sell you tires, even if it leaves you with...

Re: Happy 2nd Birthday, Little Spark

In fact, I bought and installed a second set of high performance tires and saved the stock LRR tires for later. Even with these tires I still get excellent range and much better handling and probably faster acceleration times and better braking due to increased traction. What type of tires did you ...
