Re: Battery degredation

I have been fortunate to have driven all three model years and I still have the 2014 and 2016 models. Here is the battery degradation I have experienced for each model year - 2015 Spark EV 2LT with DCFC - leased (calculated from Energy Information screen data) 1. 01 Jul 15: 1414 miles on ODO - calcu...

Re: Buying a 2014 Spark EV with 61K miles. DCFC

The readout on the full charge shows 72 miles and 4.6KW. I don't have the software or the tools to check the SOH etc. But I'm buying it for 6K. It's enough range for my daily commute and I have a slow charging at work. Any input would be appreciated. Sounds like a great deal. I have a 2014 Spark EV...

Re: 14 months of ownership starting to regret Owning a sparkev

I found this thread to be quite interesting; especially in view of my most recent experience. Last weekend, my wife and I drove to our daughter's home in Roseville, CA - a trip of about 85 miles one way. It was a hot day so the AC was on from the start. I have made this trip before so I know where t...

Re: Place Key in Transmitter Pocket

Thanks, but no the battery were installed right. I bought a new set of batteries, and these worked. The only difference is they were CR2032H instead of CR2032. No idea why the other ones did not work, especially as they were putting out 3,2V. I found this: CR2032-H "The “H” after CR2032 means the b...

Re: OBD2 Scanner and Software for 2015 Chevy Spark

I have successfully used the Bolt PIDs on my 2014 and 2016 Spark EVs using TorquePro and an OBDLink MX Bluetooth adapter. I am running TorquePro on my Android cellphone.

Re: Battery degredation

this may be a dumb question but where is the energy usage screen that will tell me i've consumed 50%, is it the screen with the horizontal battery with the green bands? thank you https://i.imgur.com/8P6Fox4.png Turn on the car's power and press the button with a LEAF on it. Re: Electrify America Charging Station Problems

I believe that the "fix" was : "support the charging handle while the initial handshake occurs, so that the locking pin falls in to place". That hasn't worked for me (or many others) at the Efacec stations (these are the prevalent type installed in the Southeastern US). Lord knows I've tried everyt...

Re: Battery degredation

is it possible to calculate HV battery capacity without using any tools such as TorquePro, etc.? if so, please explain how one would do so. thank you If you charge to 100% and drive until the energy usage screen says you've consumed 50%, look at energy used (kwh) and multiply by 2. That should be p...
