Re: your favorite youtube spark ev review?

my spark EV in 4-5" of snow with Michelin X ice snow tires. Nice ! Except your camera man didn't get the memo about not making 'vertical videos'..... :? What size are you running? If I lived somewhere with consistent snow I would definitely get winter tires. But for some unexplainable reason the wi...

Re: Has anyone tired the moon caps/eyes on the spark yet?

Are you talking about aero wheel covers?

They would need some means to attach to the alloy wheels.

The car is such a 'box' and only 82 miles to measure an aero improvement.
I doubt you'd be able to get consistent data.....

Re: TPMS Service Light

The tool is a "Relearn Tool" to tell the car system which is which. I used my cheap amazon tool just yesterday to put my stock wheels with new tires back on the car for the coming snow. :| You may be experiencing the TPMS sensors at the end of their battery life. New ones are available on amazon als...

Re: ? rear brake damper removal ?

Look closely where the damper meets the caliper bolt. There are flats for a very thin open end wrench. A 'Cone Wrench' in bicycling tools is what's needed. Or grind down a beater wrench to fit. 13mm if I remember correctly. I just grabbed the damper with large channel locks and it unscrewed. Those s...

Re: New Chevy Spark EV owner

....t for $88.99 for each tire. They get $26/tire for mount, balance, and road hazard warranty. .. You haven't been looking everywhere..... I hate to admit it,, but,, what about $52 tires, free shipping, no tax, then you take them to any good ol'boy tire shop and have them mounted and balanced? I b...

Re: New Chevy Spark EV owner

Just keep in mind there is a break in period for tires.

And also, if you put new tires on and also the weather happens to drop 20-30° during the first few weeks of driving on the new tires,
you will definitely see less range displayed.

Re: Replacement Battery Cost

Guys, a 60 Ah cell is going to be much larger than a 27 Ah cell.
Where are you going to put these bigger cells? :?:

As I said up a few.... I suspect if replacement cells with a similar physical size could be used,,,
and that is only on the '14's because of the simple 'plate' TMS.

Re: Option Label

What is the question again?
Are you talking about the original 'Window Sticker'?

These fun little EV S-boxes had very few 'options'.
There was LT1 and LT2 and, I think, the only option was the $750 DCFC option, which is a must have!

Re: Battery Warranty is bogus

Good job on calling in the Mothership !! :)

Hopefully field service engineers will be calling the shots and not the local yocals on your repair.
I wish dealerships were encouraged to get tech support at the first sign of an EV repair being over their heads.

...Without a working 12V battery your EV will NOT work.
This true of all cars, no?
( I guess an old manual ICE with a weak battery can be push started.... ;) )

But having a small Li-ion 'Boost Pack' or whatever they are called, can set you up to be someone's Hero some day !!!
