.... The battery was conditioned and was at 57.2F for this reading. ....
What does this mean?
I understand you can see battery temp in the Torque app.

Re: Spark EV 12 volt battery

Hey Norton! What is your current HV battery capacity? I see you have 74K miles on the car. I have just 22K on my 2014 and my current battery capacity is 15.3 kWh. What is your secret? :D I can't answer that. I haven't logged in a while because of my ~24 mile one-way commute. My routine is to plug i...

Re: Finding the date of first registration

That's a very good question.

Still, 13 + 8 yrs is still next year.
That's assuming it's from manufacture date, and I doubt that's how they figure it.

Don Worry.
Bee Happy.

Re: Spark EV 12 volt battery

....The other thing you may want to do is get an AGM 12 volt battery charger that also has a desulfating function. I make it a once-per-month practice to charge the 12 volt battery in both of my Spark EVs for 12 or more hours over night. I use a BatteryMINDer model 2012-AGM. Yep, I have one of thos...

Re: Questions and Data tracking

Happy New Year! This is not very current as I'm past 75 k miles. Readings are from the Energy Screen. I don't have Torque Pro working with the Bolt PIDs yet. Is there a big difference in data between the two methods? Mileage- date - % Used - kWh used - Present Capacity kWh 70001 8-29-19 81% 15 18.52...

Re: Front tire wear

...I am a very conservative driver. My questions are these: Is this wear pattern (so much more on the fronts) within expected range? ... Keep in mind ALL the Go Power and up to 60 kW of the Stop Power is handled by those 185's up front. The car has Blended Brakes which means when using the brake pe...

Re: battery warranty in writing location?

I personally don't understand all the fretting about the pack dropping to ~60% capacity. Are people seeing a death spiral trend in their Cap Numbers? I plot mine occasionally in an .xls. Here's some resent numbers: Mileage-date- % Used- kWh used- Present Capacity kWh- Temp- % of Orig-Cap 66924 6-11-...

Re: Aftermarket speakers?

Thanks for the great posts!
Just bought it on amazon for $70.
Definitely worth a try!
And I like the idea of stashing the EVSE under hood, only in the winter I use it daily at work, so it stays on the floor behind me.

Re: Conversion to Coupe

All cars these days are unibody, no separate chassis.

I would build something like this to take the Spark EV's compact drive unit and battery pack: https://vanderhallusa.com/

Re: Where do we all live? Sparks are dispersing.

I believe that the vehicle keeps the battery above a certain temp ( ? 2C = 36F ? ) if not plugged in, but if plugged in it will warm the battery to a higher temp. But what I don't remember now is if the vehicle warms the battery *during* the charge, or only after a full charge is *finished*, or *al...
