Re: 2051 Spark EV body paint are kind of thin.

Well my poor midwestern '14 is an 'Outside Car'. The only time spent indoors was when the dealership was 'pokin and hopin' trying to fix a problem where it would not move twice (for me and a third time while with the dealer) after a DCFC session. Long sad story.... Anyways, the rear wingy thingy has...

Re: Want to buy a Spark EV with 96K miles. Bad idea?

...I'm thinking if I can get even 70 mile range I'm good. The car is serviced as per requirements and looks very sharp. Everything works. I'm curious what service has been performed as claimed by the seller? Does he have a list of service documentation from a dealership? Asking for a friend.... ;) ...

Re: Battery degredation

so this is what i'm getting after my no A/C run to the store just now. with 51% usage the HV battery capacity is up to 16.27 kWh. You say you didn't have the cabin AC on and yet the display shows only 'Climate Settings' power usage. Does that mean that battery cooling is not displayed as Batter Con...

Re: Battery degredation

one thing i just realized, with 92F outside, shouldn't i see some energy go towards battery conditioning? thank you Another thing that might be happening is if the battery was charged at that temp, it was being cooled while plugged in and charging. And then your 28% worth of driving might not warm ...

Re: Mileage threshold to buy?

2 bits O'Advice: > Must have the DCFC option , but don't stress that to a sales'man'. You don't want to give them a reason to think you're interested. Just ask for a picture of the open charge port. It makes it possible to do long trips with this small EV,,, with patience. > They'll always take less...

Re: Battery degredation

Press that 'Leaf' button on the far right.
That screen has 3 sub-screens.

You don't have to nail 50%.
It's just using more than 50% makes for more accurate battery capacity data gathering.
Then do the math with '% used' and' kWh used'.
Keep a record of multiple readings. They vary a bit.

Re: Erratic Charging on 240V

Those aren't Amps. It's displaying kW. (Volts times Amps) And there is no way the car was taking a charge rate like that. The Spark EV's on board charger only takes 3.3kW from a 240V source. The graph should be a flat 3.3kW with a tapering down at the end of the charge. I suspect that particular L2 ...

Re: ? OnStar overage charge ?

You're saying the Spark EV's Onstar service offers WIFI hotspot within the car?

That's news to me.

I saw that the Bolt offers it, but never read about it in the Spark EV.
