Re: 2017 LA Auto show (and California EV infrastructure)

How is the statement in the first sentence justified? is that based on research, or speculation? There is more than one statement in the first sentence. " California buyers purchase a higher percentage of hybrids and electrics than the U.S. as a whole " is true (a fact). I don't know if " thanks to...

New Electrify America stations

So, I see a bunch of Electrify America stations popping up in the near future in the Sac/Central Valley area of Cali. There are several things that are cool about that. One, there is nothing currently on I5 from Sac until Tracy. On the 99 side, nothing from Galt to Salida. Two, these stations seem t...

Re: Greenlots RFID problem?

I do not have the card, but I have the thicker keychain rfid. Mine works at the 65kw stations like HQ and the airport, but does not work at 50kw stations like Elk Grove. Never called to ask about it.

Re: 7500 tax credit going away asap

.... 2010 to 2017 is long enough for a tax credit that large. ... But 'tax credits' to the oil barons and a military presence to make that business flow smoothly around the world should just continue forever. Oh, and the pollution we all share, and enjoy, is just part of doing that business. what t...

Re: Bluetooth connects when battery cooling fans turn on

I don't know of a fix, but it happens to me all the time. It is most annoying in the middle of a call.

Re: Replacement Battery Cost

Update from high mileage owner. I just passed 67,000 miles. Capacity is coming in at 15.5 kwh. It appears as though the car's computer percentage is slightly off. What I mean is that when I am at 50% it shows about 7.9 kwh used, but when I get to empty (yes, I get to completely empty too often) it ...

HI! So, I have a 2015 spark EV, and the stock front tires are BALD at 25,000 miles.
I gather I might be a record holder for getting this far with them.
I don't know about that, I'm over 25k and have quite a bit of tire left until the tread wear bars.

Re: New Comparison site for EV emissions

I'm not seeing the contradiction in the first two statements. The emission comparisons are also regionally based. If your car emits the same as a 86 mpg car and 1/4 of the emissions of an ICE car in your region, then that just means the average ICE car in your region gets about 21.5 mpg (national av...

Recently, my insurance went up about 30% because I moved. Same zip code, better neighborhood, but my rates still shot up.

Re: DC fast charging on my Spark EV

There is a 2014 Spark EV that has been on CL for months that will not sell for $8,300. Isn't that nearly 70% less than the original price? Yes and no. Most people that complain about EV depreciation forget to factor in that the purchase price is essentially inflated right out of the gate. The tax r...
