Sonic EV With 200-Mile Range

Wondering if it will ACTUALLY happen

I'll believe it when I see it. How does GM expect to make any money off of these next gen EVs without the battery manufacturing capability of a "Gigafactory". They could put these cars out at $30K, but it would probably be a huge loss every unit (and probably why one of those articles mentioned limited quantities). The Volt is great, but GM is make a huge mistake by not going fully electric sooner, once 2016 rolls around, only going 40-60 miles all electric is going to seem very limiting with 200 mile EVs on the road.

Well whatever they do they better redesign that thing before they make it electric.
