My lease is up on Saturday. The buyout price is about 3000 dollars higher than very similar used spark ev's currently available for sale in my city. My lease is through GM Financial and although I have seen from others that they won't barter with you I called and tried to convince them to sell the car to me for a reasonable price. Honestly I would have been willing to pay a bit of a premium to keep ours because we have taken very good care of it but they won't move an inch so they will probably end up getting 1000-1500 less than I would have paid for it when they dump it into the auction. I really don't understand why they want to do it this way but oh well. Just figured I would let people know that the rumors seem to be true and they are totally inflexible on this.
