It is so heartbreaking that those beloved cars were just smashed after the owner's lease ended. Shame on GM!

Yes, but its legacy lives on in our Spark EVs. Which we can actually own. ;)

Some Spark EV driver should have GM EV2 or the like as their vanity plate.

I considered EV2, but it wasn't available (althought EV02 was). I then thought of using MODEL 3, which is available. This is GM's 3rd electric model, isn't it (Volt #2, sort of)? LOL, while I wait for Model 3 reservations to begin. LOL

I settled on SKIPGAS, which I saw on a CA Tesla. It ties in (sort of) with Maryland's State Boat, the Skip Jack. Waiting for the plate to arrive.
