If you plug in to a charger and have the car set for a delayed charge (when rates are lower), the RemoteLink smart phone app displays a button on the "dashboard" page offering to "Charge Now".

Pressing the "Charge Now" button should immediately start charging the car.
It will only be displayed after you update the dashboard status page while the car is delaying charging.

I recall using this feature a few times when the car was new, early in 2014.
However, for the past few months, if I press this button, the app reports "error 109"
This function is not supported by your vehicle, or some such.

So, has anyone got this feature still working?
I'm running RemoteLink on an Android (JellyBean) phone.
Perhaps it works under on other smartphones?

I've call OnStar about this repeatedly. They said "they'd fixed it", but I don't see how.

Any info appreciated...

One workaround is to connect the EVSE, wait for the blinking green light, then disconnect and quickly reconnect the EVSE. This should force an immediate charge without changing the delayed departure setting for next time. Of course you can force a charge in the central display too, but this method does not require booting up the car.

I was hoping to be able to start charging remotely, via the cell phone link.

I swear it worked for me a few times when the car was new.
Why even display the button, if the car won't support it?
