It'd be nice to meet some other Spark EV owners. So I suggest we put together a gastropub GTG and meet up perhaps?

Would anyone be interested in this?

I live in Burbank so anywhere between Pasadena/Sherman Oaks/Downtown would be an even shot...give or take.

GTG is a get-together.

Anyone is welcome but obviously if you live up North it might be tough....

Anyway I'd like to keep this alive if anyone is interested. I would hope Spark EV owners would like to do so.

Let me know and I'll come up with a few suggestions.

Cheers

Works for me. I'm in Oakland too, have had my Spark since November. Which are you thinking of getting and what dealer are you considering?

There is one in Alameda too, but I don't think I've seen them on here.

Any Southern California locals?

San Fernando, San Gabriel, Valley, etc..??

I was thinking of setting up a meeting in either downtown LA or perhaps Burbank/Pasadena.

If anyone is interested, please just IM me or post here and if we get four or more folks we can go for it.

We have had Spark EV owners at our Southern California EV meetings since the beginning of the Spark EV (and well before):

I'll bring "show and tell" to Cerritos on April 12, 8:30am - 11am:

HomeTown Buffet
11471 South St
Cerritos, CA
562-402-8307

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: There are several on this forum who don't play well with others. I recommend that you not come to our inclusive, friendly meetings. Also, be prepared to interact with folks who aren't necessarily "GM people", but instead are EV supporters and owners of all different brands. Tesla, Nissan and Toyota will be well represented.

It's a little sad that I even have to post this, and in 4 years of being involved in these types of meetings, it's the first time. If you come to disrupt things, spew hate (or your not well received strongly held opinion), you will be promptly escorted out.

If you aren't sure if you are "that guy", you probably are that guy. Thanks.

Mr Williams,

I'm not sure you realize this but all EV owners are welcome to Spark EV GTG's...and without caveats such as yours.

As far as I see it, the only one spewing hate and criticism is yourself and a couple of other haters.

So please, kindly stay out of this one and I'm sure the people who wish to participate in your regulatory Spark/Volt/BMW/SAE EV bashing can join in your own festivities.

Cheers.

On that note, as I mentioned earlier, anyone living locally who wants to GTG for beers and food is welcome to do so...of any brand...and plug type...and any EV style. No inclusions/exclusions needed.

I might try to show up since I live only 3 miles south of Cerritos.

Oh wait . . . frankenplug. Shucks, I am "that guy!"

Yes, you two trash talkers, and a few others like you wouldn't be a good fit with peaceful civil discourse over breakfast with those of us that have been meeting publicaly for years. Thankfully, you have both figured out that you are "that-guy". And to think that I doubted you were smart enough to see the obvious... silly me.

Thanks in advance for staying in your own holes while the rest of us talk EV's.

Again, our meetings are (and always have been) specifically for all EV owners except those on this forum who are "that-guy". Since the above self-identified themselves, I'm confident that the several other problem children can do the same.

Did you ever stop to think that your arrogance and attitude coupled with your ego is your blind spot that prevents you from seeing the very same attitude directed right back at you?

You are, in my opinion, one of the biggest offenders of straying from "peaceful civil discourse" on this board (evidence: And to think that I doubted you were smart enough to see the obvious... Silly me.) You've attacked others that have posted on this CHEVY SPARK EV forum when they have an opinion that is opposed to your viewpoint. You might be 100% correct about the CHaDEMO infrastructure - but attacking, cajoling, shaming, and embarrassing Spark EV drivers and future drivers is not going to change the fact that GM selected the J1772 standard. Time will be the judge.

Perhaps you can, in a kind and peaceful and civil manner, explain why you post on this board to extol the virtues of EVs, except those that have been designed to fast charge using the J1772 SAE standard? What are you really trying to accomplish? What is the message you want to convey to Chevy Spark EV owners and potential owners? Are you accomplishing what you want to accomplish with your many, many posts?

So I will crawl back into my "own hole" and wait for the day that you cease posting and spewing your brand of trash talk on this Spark EV board - you have certainly made this forum very difficult to enjoy and share my experiences and discoveries and criticisms about the Chevy Spark EV. Silly me, here I thought that this was a forum for Chevy Spark EV owners, drivers and enthusiasts.

Let's not let this troll TonyWilliams derail our purpose here.

Let's continue to build our group and get some grub!

Yes, I'm a "troll" to "derail" your purpose!!! Perhaps that nutty talk does make sense to you, but thankfully there are many more folks with an EV who spend no effort yapping at my heels on the internet. You're outnumbered about 1000 to one. Sorry, Charlie.

Why don't both you guys (and there are a few others) call your little get-togethers the "Ban TonyWilliams Club". I absolutely promise I won't ever show up!!!!! If we need you, we'll smoke you out of your hole.

I'm really glad I posted about these issues, and then you two oozed out of the cracks on cue. Just so we're clear, and there's no doubt EXACTLY who we do not want in civilized biweekly breakfasts:

It's you, "that-guy".

If either of you show up, I will call the police and we will let civilized enforcers of the law handle whatever continued crazy talk you wish to provide us with. Since the only reason you would show up is to either disrupt, threaten, attack, or otherwise intimidate our gathering, only law enforcement is appropriate to counter your presence.

You have been advised.
