I signed up a week ago .
I drove a BMW i3 at plugndrive last week.
Impressive acceleration , but out of my budget.
I'm hyped to buy a Spark EV.

I owned a primitive Pontiac Firefly.
Converted to EV as a high school autoshop project
Under powered . 96 V lead acid batteries.
Had a GE motor and controller , some potential .
But in those days higher tech batteries were even more $$$

Does anyone know the number of Spark EVs sold in Ontario ?
I expected to see some coming off lease.

Lots for sale in Quebec - most are imported from California.
Current $4,000 rebate for previously unregistered EVs for Quebec residents.

How many problems would I encounter to buy privately and drive back to Toronto ?
Quebec has some goofy rules. Onus is on buyer to check for liens.
TIA David

So you are in Quebec or on Ontario?

Its actually best to use a broker because you need an ITN number (I think that's what its called) and I believe you are responsible for getting the title in your name ahead of time.

Someone wanted to buy my car from Canada and lost interest when the ITN number thing came up but there is this broker that seems to do this for $150USD so it doesn't seem that horrible either.
