About a month ago I noticed the light on the onstar module had turned red. I figured it was because my trial had run out and didn't investigate. Around the same time, my compass indicator started saying "cal" all of the time. To top it off, the radio stopped getting all but 2 stations, and very weak at that. I didn't really connect the 3 until recently. So now I'm thinking something is wrong with my antenna/antenna base assembly.

Was wondering if anyone else has had problems like this? I was thinking of picking up one of those cheap shark fin covers for <10$ just to see it it makes a difference, it might rule out the 100$ US antenna base...

YES... there is an issue. I have to take my Bolt in for the same problem actually. the Red light is not good. In my case its still covered under the bumper to bumper warranty but I'm not sure it will be on an older Spark EV. For reference my compass stopped working and my on-star button is always red now. I was told it can be 1 of 3 things.. 1 being the on-star module, 1 being the antenna and I forget what the 3rd issue could be. I was told it will take an hour to hour and a half to properly diagnose which of the 3 things it is and then the part will need to be ordered most likely.
