Good point. Running takes more energy than walking.

As for the cost, right now it's near 0 because work supplies the electrons (I don't have a home charger). It's an amazing feeling to not buy gas. In 3 years they'll start charging me 2.50 / hour so I'll have to visit the mall more or something.. but that's not a concern for a while. Love driving my electric tic tac! Compared to my gas car the experience is like going form analog TV to digital.
