Auto lights control slow to respond ?

Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:53 am

Hello everyone, I have been experiencing some strange issue with the automatic lights function.
Seems it is very slow to respond and when it's cloudy or the car is in the shade, the lights go in night mode.

Driving the car after about 5 minutes, the system automtically goes back to day mode.. If I go under a bridge, night mode kicks in and it will take about another 5 minutes to switch back to day mode, that's 5 minutes with the sensor in full sun !

Anyone experience this issue ?

Thanks

Welcome to that goofy system !

Although it is nice to never think about turning the headlights off and on.

I can't understand how it can be a sunny morning and I'll come to a stop with the sun behind me and I happen to notice it switch to night mode.

There's nothing you can do about it except ignore it.
Some turn the headlights completely off thinking they will get better range! (do the math...)

That bugs me too so I just turn the day / night function off during the day.
