Chevy Spark EV Specs
The Chevrolet Spark EV was officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2012. With the Spark EV, Chevrolet adds another car to its electric powered lineup. Building on Chevy’s tried and tested electric motor and battery development program used in the Chevy Volt the Spark EV is expected to have among the best EV battery range in its segment.
No official EPA numbers have been released for electric range or miles-per-gallon equivalents.
Electric Vehicle Specs
Charging: The Spark EV will be the first production EV to offer SAE Combo DC Fast Charging capability allowing it to reach 80 percent capacity in 20 minutes. Using a dedicated 240-volt line, the battery can be charged in about 7 hours.
Electric Motor: Producing 130 horsepower and 400 ft-lbs of torque, the electric motor provides plenty of punch.
0-60mph: The Spark EV can sprint to 60mph in under 7 seconds.
Battery: Using a 20kWh lithium ion battery pack, the Spark EV should provide the best EV range performance in its segment.
Spark EV Interior Features
The Chevy Spark EV uses a top of the line infotainment system, allowing access to apps from BringGo Navigation, TuneIn, Pandora and Stitcher. Drivers with compatible iPhones can access siri for hands free and eyes free communication.
Featuring 2 7 inch screens, one of them a touch screen, the Chevy Spark EV dash provides the driver with all necessary information including animated power flow, charge programming, energy information, climate controls and MyLink Radio.
The rest of the interior remains largely unchanged from its gasoline sibling.
