Just an update, front tires lasted for 17k miles. Still worth it.
I just got a 2015 with 37K mi. It's ready for its third set of front tires already at only 37K. The 2nd set are Goodyear Integrity. So, even with LRR tires but no real tire rotation, the life isn't much better.

Re: Most efficient tire alternative to stock tires

New 2015 Spark EV LT2 owner about to get tires. @StEVen, @rgk, and anyone else with knowledge or experience, how have the General Altamax RT43's been working out? In detail, how have they compared with the stock tires? range/mi/kWh? performance/acceleration/handling? wear/longevity? noise? I'm also ...

Re: Tire recommendation

I just got my 2015 Spark EV LT2 but I need tires. So let me ask, now that it's been a while, do you still recommend the Kumho Solus TA31's? Compared with the stock tires, have they been better worse or the same regarding: range/mi/kWh? performance/acceleration/handling? wear/longevity? noise? I'm al...

Re: Regenerative braking in reverse down a steep driveway

I know this is an old post, but if you see this, I have to ask, why not just back up your driveway? You won't need regenerative braking when backing up uphill. Gravity does it for you. Also, I'd like to point out that most people probably back up, oh, maybe a mile per year? At most, maybe a few? And...

Re: California HOV Sticker Removal

I guess you already took care of it, but what about WD40? I'd be careful with it, and wipe it off right away, but it seems from some googling, that it's safe for car paint.

Re: Spark EV Braking Question

I wish they would have let the regen be attached to the accelerator pedal and friction brakes to the brake pedal only. That way I could use either one discriminately rather than the system choosing for me and often choosing wrong or harshly. Actually, they did. What you're looking for is exactly ho...

Adapter / extension cord in one?

Has anyone seen a NEMA 14-30 male to NEMA 14-50 female combination extension cord / adapter all in one piece? I know I can buy the adapters and use a separate extension cord, but if possible, I'd rather have one 25 or 30 foot cord, all in one, more reliable. Yes, I also know I can just buy the ends,...

Re: Can a DC Fast charger be added to a 2016 Spark EV?

Actually, it is possible. This has been discussed in several posts in this forum. This post in particular is from a shop that, I think, will do the conversion for you (for around $2000). They're in Canada. See:

Re: Heater

In an EV, heat pumps probably save weight too. I imagine you'd use the same compressor, etc. as the AC, so no extra hardware for the heat. Only what about when it gets so cold that heat pumps no longer create heat? What about when you need heat and dehumidification (defrost/defog) at the same time?...

Add MyLink Apps?

Hi everyone. New here and a new owner of a 2015 Spark EV LT2, which we love so far. I have so many questions, but for now, I'm trying to figure out the MyLink system, and how to add apps, presumably, to the "smartphone link" menu? A google search shows that there are "thousands of apps available" fo...
