So, I have a 2015; I'll say this from my perspective. Chevy makes a vehicle where the main component will last 8 years. After 7 years, they discontinue that component, just before they'll actually have to replace any of them. Isn't that the very definition of a Ponzi scheme?

Good catch. Curiously, the GM parts catalog lists the same part number 95260968 for both the gas and EV version of the Spark: I'm not really all that surprised. I can't personally confirm this, but I have read that the Spark EV has "aero-optimized exterior mirrors" that differ from the gas version. See this old press release from Chevy:

If you're looking to improve handling, then by all means, go for it. If you're also looking for cheap tires, it's probably not worth it.
