Anyone want to trade portable EVSE?

I've got the 2016 portable EVSE that came with the Spark, and I did the modification to allow 240V charging that was mentioned in this thread: http://www.mychevysparkev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4902. Since my Spark is a lease I figured I would just rewire it back to factory before turn in, but ...

Re: Help programming RKE transmitter for 2016

Procedure is described the same in the 2016 manual. Didn't work for me either. Contacted local service and they said it must be done by the dealer, they have to hook up their programmer to the car. Can't remember if they quoted me a cost, but it wasn't going to be free. Asked them to do it as warran...

The actual statute is ORS 811.587.

And the nice thing is that you can issue the fine yourself via ORS 153.058.

Re: Impression of Bolt at the auto show

Thanks for the report. My wife and I were hoping to get to the Portland Auto Show this year to check out the EVs, but we were out of town this last weekend. Next EV will be a Tesla (Model 3) , but still like to see what's going on with the other guys. So you're not getting a new EV until 2-3 years ...

Re: Used Factory Tires?

We do? They were such junk. I replaced them for the second time with Yokohamas in October. Nuts. My lease is up in 3 weeks. What to do? You don't need OEM tires for lease return. Here are the requirements for tires/wheels: • Original manufacturer wheels • Undamaged tires with minimum 4/32” tread • ...

Re: Installing Bosch charger in Oregon for tax credit

I don't see anywhere in the documentation that the EVSE/Outlet needs to be professionally installed to get the credit. Also, you probably don't need a permit to get the credit, but you're likely required to get one for installing a new branch circuit. Your estimates probably include $75-100 for the ...

Re: Help with replacement remote

Having a similar issue myself. It never seems to enter programming mode. Got a hold of the local dealer/service and they said it has to be programmed in the shop. I don't think they gave me a price for it. Contacted Chevy customer service a couple times so far asking if this would be covered as a wa...

Re: Portable CHAdeMO or CCS Fast Charger

I think something like this has to be under $1K to make any sales, and even that seems like a lot. Agreed. The current price is too high. But if you knew you could stop at any of the numerous L2 charging stations that doesn't have DCFC and take a long lunch or do sight-seeing for a couple hours, yo...

Re: Portable CHAdeMO or CCS Fast Charger

Well, this is interesting. These guys are vending a portable CHAdeMO/CCS Fast Charger: https://www.evseadapters.com/en/home/136-portable-chademo-or-ccs-fast-charger.html#/127-connector_type-ccs That link took me to a standard L2 EVSE for some reason, some sort of redirect. Maybe this one (for CHAde...
