Re: New Owner! Just got a 2015 Spark EV w/ 26000!

We got our car through Carvana and they ended up sending a us a brand new TurboCord which has an adapter for 240V. Here is a link to the product page. https://www.evsolutions.com/turbocord Since my commute is so short my Spark only needs charged for a couple hours a day at the most. You may realize ...

Re: Questions and Data tracking

I'll be resetting the trip meter today to track my kWhs. I did my second charge to 100% last night (a month after the first time) and I got a GOM reading of 98 miles at 100%. I've been getting between 4.9-11kWh on my trips but mostly averaging 5-7kWh most days. I rarely jump on the interstate so my ...

Re: Spare Tire?

I wanted to post an update. I did get a chance to air the spare up to the full 60 PSI and it still allowed the cover to close. I think I did experience the brake regen drop out but it wasn't related to the spare tire and it was rather sudden and a bit scary. I was slowing down in a curve and the whe...

Front License Plate Holder Removal and Hole Filling

Since we don't require a front license plate in our state I decided to remove the front license plate from our Spark EV and our Gen 2 Volt. The Spark was just screwed into the plastic bumper cover and was very easy to remove. The Volt required drilling out some aluminum rivets but was not much work....

Re: Questions and Data tracking

I've definitely pushed it all the way down it is very fun! I usually just cruise a constant speed to work 30-40 MPH to avoid stopping at the red lights. I was just confused by how the lifetime number could be so high since no matter what I do I can't even get close. I'll be keeping track of my batte...

Questions and Data tracking

Update: I wanted to update this post to ask a few clearer questions and share my experience with owning this car and using Torque Pro for the past week. I tried using Enginelink and it showed a handful of useful gauges when loading the Bolt PIDS but the layout was not very configurable and the units...

Re: Spare Tire?

I just put it on and backed up about a car length in the driveway and pulled back forward to double check the clearance on the calipers. I didn't have the wheel in the car but it was near the car and it didn't have any issues but at such a low speed I was only using the calipers not the regenerative...

Re: Spare Tire?

The 2005-2010 Chevy Cobalt 4 bolt 15" spare tire works for our cars on the front and back and can fit in the back of the car and the lid close if you want it to (see below.) Be careful if you decide to order a cobalt spare tire as they also made a 5 bolt model that does not work with our cars. The o...

Re: Spare Tire?

Norton thanks for your advice. I ended up ordering a spark jack and tire tool with carrying bag as well as a spare tire from a Chevy Cobalt which happens to have a 15" Rim with the 4x100 bolt pattern (not all Cobalts had this bolt pattern though some had a 5 lug setup so if anyone goes this route do...
