lease end return with bald front tires

For those in NorCal, I have a set of stock tires with 9k as well, cheap. Took them off to upgrade the tires, and now I've returned the car at lease end, so no need for them.

WTB: Front Tires/wheels, San Francisco Bay Area

I realize you were seeking tires in July, but I do have a set with about 9k if you're still interested. In Davis.

In Phoenix Area, Determined to Have a Spark EV

Here in Davis, California we frequently have temps over 100. And in my non-insulated garage it can be 110. We had two Nissan LEAFs, which lack thermal management, and both showed substantial loss of range after two years, and by the end of their three-year leases they were almost useless...

    Grapevine question

Just to add to the Tahoe trip up US 50: I took my 2016 Spark to go skiing at Sierra-at-Tahoe. Stopped at El Dorado Hills and Pollock Pines. At the ski resort, they have a L1 outlet you can use, and it's a really primo parking spot. If you're there for the day you can easily pick up enough...

Best modifications to stay cool in the summer?

I agree with Joe. Use the Onstar app to start the car a few minutes before you're going to get in. It will cool (or heat, as appropriate) the car. If you're plugged in, all the better, but a few minutes of pre-cooling or heating isn't going to cost you any significant amount of range. You...

What is being offered at end of lease?

Eventually you will receive a bill for the "disposition fee." It's either $395 or $595, I don't recall. They will waive this if you lease another GM car. I've also heard that they will waive excess wear/mileage up to a point if you lease another GM car.

Suggestions for battery conditoning? Cant charge at home now

Congratulations on your new used Spark! Sounds like this one found a really appreciative new home. In case you didn't know, there's a screen where you can choose for your L1 evse to draw 8 amps or 12 amps. It's painfully slow, and might even be outrun by the a/c, at 8 amps. When you're using...

Fast Provisions CBT?? Does this mean Quick Charge option??

Fast Charge Provisions is the name Chevy uses on the window sticker to describe that option, so it sounds like this car does have it. With Carvana, you have a few days to check the car over, so it seems pretty safe to go ahead. You can send it back if you're not satisfied. I don't know what...

    Soon to be Spark Owner

We've had two Spark EVs and had no problems with key fobs. Never had to change batteries, even. There should be two key fobs with the car. If neither works, and the batteries are good, I suggest you try following the procedure on pages 2-5 and 2-6 of the owner's manual to re-program the fobs...

    Soon to be Spark Owner

Check the CarFax, just to make sure there are no crashes. I'm in the Davis, CA area and would be glad to look at the car if you're near by. I suspect you'll be fine. These cars are very well put together, and yours has low mileage. BTW I'm also driving a Clarity, but the hydrogen version...

    Advice needed for new tires

I put Kumho Solus TA31 tires on mine. I stuck with the original sizes. Excellent tire for the car. Rides and handles great, and it's LRR. I found my miles per KWH remained at 4.4 with these tires.

What to watch for when buying used?

One other thing to keep in mind is the 1LT vs 2LT trim. The granite black one in Doral is a 2LT; the blue one is a 1LT. 1LT has light blue cloth upholstery and a plastic steering wheel; 2LT has dark grey vinyl upholstery (Chevy calls it "leatherette") and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. I...

What to watch for when buying used?

The ones at the lot in Doral (I followed your link) all look good to me. I don't know the reputation of that store, but all three cars have clear Carfax reports. They all look like typical 3-year lease cars that led uneventful lives here in California. I've noticed that lots of used EVs wind...

    Tire recommendation

The Kumho Solus TA31 is an excellent tire for the Spark EV. It comes in the two correct sizes and is reasonably priced. I've put about 700 miles on them. First of all, unlike the Firestones, there is no vibration. The balancing is perfect. The car continues to track straight and true. Great...

EV Parking Spots --- Getting ICE'd.

Kudos to Kansas for getting on the EV train! It's picking up speed! Hoping the Bolt, once it reaches Chevy dealers in all 50 states, will get customers to at least try driving one when they're browsing the ICE cars. As we all know, once you drive an EV, there's no going back.
