    Weird Behavior

After doing some research I concluded that Battery Minder is a better option than Battery Tender (desulfating function + warranty). Note that model 1510 carries a 10yr warranty and better clips than model 1500 (5yr warranty). I originally got the charger for my family 6-seater non-electric Mazda...

    Weird Behavior

Here is a charger I am using: https://www.amazon.com/BatteryMINDer-Model-1510-Maintenance-Motorcycles/dp/B00Q3CM2QY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=10YUTNLI8YPSS&keywords=batteryminder+1510&qid=1556261291&s=gateway&sprefix=batteryminde&sr=8-3

    Weird Behavior

So, I took the car to the dealer. Apparently, disconnecting the battery flushes all error codes, if any, so they could not diagnose the problem. The dealer called GM engineers, but they haven't heard of this kind of problem either. My conclusion: we are driving a cheap car where the software...

    Weird Behavior

So, my wife pulls into the driveway in our 2015 Spark, puts the gear into Park, waits until the garage door opens (sometimes it's slow), then puts the the gear into Drive and the car goes... BACK, as in REVERSE! Needless to say, she did not expect it. I tell her to turn off the car and check it...

    Tunein not working

There is no fix. I just spoke to GM, and they claim that the problem is due to the fact that TuneIn app stopped supporting integration with MyLink. Note that in my case - 2015 model - the TuneIn app never worked from day one. So, I am not sure there has EVER been a version of TuneIn with which...

    Aftermarket speakers?

A short update: problem solved. I bought a 1/16'' thick self-adhesive rubber neoprene sheet on eBay. Cut strips of 5-6mm width and variable length and put them on the horizontal dashboard surface, also cut narrower (3mm) pieces and put them on the vertical surfaces of the dashboard, where the...

Ghetto Headrest and Dead Pedal Improvement

I tried the pedal suggestion. Yes, it will create a couple of inches of extra space, but there is no firm surface to put your foot on and I did not like to mushy feeling under my foot. Not recommended.

    Front Speaker Grill Vibration

A short update: problem solved. I bought a 1/16'' thick self-adhesive rubber neoprene sheet on eBay. Cut strips of 5-6mm width and variable length and put them on the horizontal dashboard surface, also cut narrower (3mm) pieces and put them on the vertical surfaces of the dashboard, where the...

    Front Speaker Grill Vibration

Do you mean a custom gasket cut out of a thin rubber sheet? Or you know of a simpler way of making one?

    Front Speaker Grill Vibration

Following on the advice in a parallel thread, I replaced the stock speakers. The quality of the sound did improve a lot after the upgrade. But one annoyance remains: the front grills are producing an annoying vibration sound. Can anyone suggest how to get rid of it? - I was thinking of putting a...

    Aftermarket speakers?

One minor point: the stock fronts are 8Ohm speakers, but the rears are 4Ohm. Since I replaced both fronts and rears with 4Ohm speakers, more power need to be redirected to the rears (even more, since my front JBL's are more efficient than rear Kickers) - this can be easily done through the...

    Aftermarket speakers?

Thank you, nikwax! A follow up question. I see two different Kicker models on the Crutchfield site: 40CS464 and 41DSC464. Which ones should I use? Any idea which ones sound better?

    Aftermarket speakers?

Guys, I'm new to this, so be gentle. I know from this thread that to replace the front two-way speakers I can use, for example the JBL GT7-4 speakers and the Metra 72-9300 harness. But I am not clear about the rear 4x6'' speakers. My understanding is that the rear speakers are NOT two-way...
