So after chatting with GM on my phone with texts, I set up another appointment with the dealership via a local Customer Experience Representative. The same shop manager told the rep there is no "capacity test" and if there is a problem the car will throw a code. My next call will be to the State...
I was out of town so my father took the car to the dealership to have a spare key made and capacity check the traction battery. Over the phone the service manager tells me if there is a problem with the battery it will throw a code otherwise there is nothing wrong with it. Soooo, you don’t know...
I have an appointment Thursday to have the battery checked. I'll at least know if it is or isn't below the limit. They will charge the labor to Chevrolet if the battery fails. They will charge the labor to me if it doesn't. If my luck holds I'll owe more money....
Yeah, another first :( . This was a super low mileage (5750 miles) lease, then one private owner vehicle that sold at auction to the dealer in Fresno in March of 2019. The photo on CarGurus was of the dash at that time and showed 80 miles on the guess o meter with most of a full charge so I...
After having by wife total my first Spark EV (White 2014, no DCFC) and my son totalling my second Spark EV (Red 2015, DCFC) I traveled 700 miles to Fresno to buy a 2014 with 5900 miles on it hoping everything would be fresh. My first two days are showing about 11.5 KWH on what was a 21 KWH...
Wife wrecked it a year ago. I have collected a few parts but there is no way I am going to be able to finish this project. Front left side is crunched. Fire department started in with the jaws and ruined the driver door and dinged the passenger door before they realized the door would just open...
I have a 2014 and 2015. No question the 2015 is quicker. I have never seen as much range as the 2014 though. Stands to reason. 2014 is a bit heavier due principally to the larger battery.
It is held on May 31-June 1 on the campus of Boise State University.
The first night each team has to present their project with a PowerPoint to judges from industry and BSU faculty. This is half the total score. June 1 there is a relay race of sorts; four drivers have their lap times averaged...
Here is the Gofundme link https://www.gofundme.com/helpZamperini . The kids are meeting for the second time this season today at 3:45. Solar power is all they are allowed to use to charge and race. They will be posting updates from time to time.
Solar Go-Kart race time again! This year we will be attempting to raise enough money to switch to Lithium Ion Batteries, specifically two EarthX ETX900 batteries in series, and four 100W flexible solar panels. The team should have a facebook page up in a couple weeks to track progress. I'll post...
