Is there some easier way to get bass from 4inch and 4x6inch speaker? Don't really want to add amp/subwoofer to this EV as they need to tap extra power from the battery. I don't need a lot of bass, but something better than stock then I am happy.

I did try the Kicker KS40 4ohm in the front. It fitted without problem, plastic cup from stock speaker wont fit as described in gas spark forum. It sounded a lot louder for the same volume (don't know it's because of the lower speaker resistance) and high/mid are much better, no low on this...

Guess I will leave the stock speaker as it is for now, unless someone can find a good 4inch 8ohm replacement. The Kicker speakers will be going back..before they arrive :cry:

thanks for the tip, I removed the stock speaker this morning and found it's rated at 8ohms, measured with multimeter and the resistance reading is ~7.3ohm. Stock Speaker held in a plastic cup as described in gas spark forum" Rated at 40W/8ohm:

what did you use for front speaker?

searched gas Spark forum and saw people had similar problem too. Managed to pop off the speaker grille and confirmed this is where location where noise comes from. Will probably post a separate thread in the modification/accessories section once I have successfully damped/muted this cover. Now...

Does anyone having creaky rattle coming from the front speaker grille area? I noticing these while driving and pushing the speaker grille or surrounding dash seem to quiet the noise for a while but it came back pretty soon, any suggestion on how to quiet down the creaks?

my daily commute is 63miles round trip (55miles highway and rest local). I averaged about 33~28 mile left at night when got home (around 30% battery left if checking on the Onstar mobile app). I think you should be ok.

Got time this weekend to trim down the mat and now fits better. Trimmed down depth and a bit of width

received the mat for gas version and bad new is the depth is too long, proves EV version has a smaller trunk in depth compare to gas version..It seems like the backseat of EV is more "push back" to the trunk, does this mean EV version has a longer legroom compare to gas version? Here are photos...
