Because the Chevy Spark EV website states you can't get the $500 credit towards a Bosch EVSE without professional installation, and Bosch quoting me a typical price of $800-1200 for installation on the phone last week; I bought a Bosch 16 amp, 12' cord, 20 amp unit on Amazon. My electrician friend put a pigtail on mine yesterday, plugged it into my 20amp welder outlet, hung it on the garage wall and everything works great.

Anyway, I went back to Bosch and they told me I didn't have to have the EVSE professionally installed, so I'm taking them up on the credit and ordered an identical unit which I would like to sell for $400. It cost me $475 for the Amazon one with tax plus I have to pay the freight and tax on the discounted one.

So, if you have a second house or want to have an EVSE at work, I think this is a reasonable deal.

The unit has shipped and should arrive next week from Illinois.
