Battery too low to fast charge?

Having only been into the single digits on the GOM a couple times, curious to hear more about this. At what point does limp mode kick in (and how slow is it)? Did your GOM go to “LOW” right after “1”? And how much did you drive it in “LOW”? I’m also suspect that the trouble was due to your SOC...

Battery too low to fast charge?

I’d love to know more about this. I’ve only public charged twice so far. One was at an EVgo dcfc. Following the written directions wasn’t working, so I called them for live support. The rep was very helpful and patient, and seemed to know that making the connection could take some amount of...

Chevy makes bigger replacement side mirrors

Cool! New? Used? Are they painted? May I ask how much you paid? I have to assume that the blinker and heater wires just aren’t there, and need to be run (from the fuse box, or ?). In my case, I would probably try to hire someone who knows how these are typically run, rather than try to guess...

So it's time for another car...

If power is suddenly disconnected (and the alarm feature enabled) the alarm will sound. The chances of noticing it right away when plugged in at work however... Jacking up the car to steal the cable seems like a lot of trouble. But then so does parking a tire right on it. I'd think a...

To anyone who has run a 195/55r15 tire up front.

I believe it should be quite possible to fit those up front (and feel I remember someone did them on the stock wheels?). Once my fronts are done (new ones came with the car a couple mos ago), I'm hoping to get new wheels and run 205/50-15 all around. As far as efficiency, I'm guessing the model...

Where do we all live? Sparks are dispersing.

Said no Ecopia tire ever. (More like little sneezes if you're lucky.) I know many have upgraded. But has anyone posted their 0-60's with them? Have to think with any traction, breaking into the 6's becomes quite feasible. Or are we really that much slower than a Bolt? (And then of course...

Need info from techies & midwest Spark owners

Couple years in Madison. What I learned (if we're gonna do this threadjack right): 1) Pond hockey rules. And on a clear morning, you can be quite comfortable out in 20 degrees in just a t-shirt. (Until the wind comes up.) 2) No summer day is sunny and clear enough that it's ever safe to leave...

Need info from techies & midwest Spark owners

Maybe one of the styrofoam water spigot covers could be modified? It would have to be cut in two, then reattached around the cable (with the hole made large enough for the cable to fit through). So it just stays on the cable, and slides over the handle when in use. And maybe add a stop behind it...

    Snowboard fit?

Well, I don’t have a Canadian tape measure, but according to my Chinese one, it should just fit diagonally with the back seats down, and the front seat scooted up a bit. If it’s two 6+ footers in the front, may be a squeeze. Alternatively, putting the right (60%) rear seat down, you’d be able...

Chevy makes bigger replacement side mirrors

Having read the 15 pages of Backup Camera thread (RIP poor solder!), I’m surprised this upgrade isn’t more popular (let alone the OP being so disparaged). As the season has changed, I quickly realized how much I’m missing side mirrors that are heated. Having them larger and with turn signals...

    Snowboard fit?

I took home an 8’ 4x4 post in mine. Can’t see why a snowboard wouldn’t fit. You’d need to lower the seat behind the driver, then run the board somewhat diagonally. Whether this still accommodates a front passenger safely and comfortably might be a question. Edit to add: When you say “in the...

Young Person here needs financial advice on end of lease

Firstly, congrats on having things so well sorted! Especially being married and owning your home (renting is insane these days). Also for looking at several angles to make a rational conclusion. For your Spark, you didn't put much info about it (year, mileage, condition). In any case, the...
