    Replacement Battery Cost

I have just over 101K miles on my 2014 and the usable capacity looks to be around 14.5kWh. As for replacement cost, I see used Sparks on autotrader with under 20K miles selling for under $10k. There's one on there right now with 14K miles on it for $8,750. I would consider buying that one used...

Thinking about the spark for a crazy commute- bad idea?

My commute is 144 miles round trip. I have a level 2 evse both at home and work, but when I first got the spark I had neither. But I was able to use l2 evse's that were close by. Even in bad weather I have been able to make the 72 mile trip to and from work, although it meant driving 55 mph on...

    DC Quick Charge Times?

Hey amndrin, I find the dcqc at smud to be exceptionally fast as well. I've gone from 20% to full in around 40 minutes, hitting 80% easily under 20. If I could only make it home on 80%. :)

Long drive + Sacramento SAE combo charger suggestions.

I live in Tracy and work in Rancho so have a 72 mile commute 1 way. I have a l2 evse at my work so can charge up before heading home, but on occasion I have used the SMUD quick charger to fill up in order to get home. For my commute, I run the ac at 75 with fan on 1 and it keeps me nice and...

"waiting" for your EV to charge

So there has been a lot of talk about how long it takes for EV's to charge, like in the recent Lexus add. But those of us who own and drive them know that we rarely, if ever sit around waiting for our cars to charge. We simply plug in, then go off to work, go shop, or into the house, sleep...

    EV Decals

Anyone know of sources for any other ev related stickers? I'd like to get something for the back window that shows a little personality and says I'm driving an EV. So far all I can find are few clever bumper stickers and various leafs or trees in vinyl stickers for windows.

    Chevy Lease Terms

Hey Bryan. I've used the CCS plug at SMUD in Sac couple times. It's great! 100% charge from about 20% in 30 minutes. Oh, and to get the record run you'll have to beat me. I currently hold the record for most miles in 24 hours on http://www.voltstats.net/SparkEV with 165.44 :)

    Lowest full charge range estimate?

@Tony, is there a source online to get some of the stickers you have? Specifically the electric interstate one. That's a pretty cool sticker.

Fast DC chargers in SFO Bay Area

FYI I tried the SAE Combo plug in Belmont on 3-26 and it was not working. There is one at the SMUD building on S street off of hwy 50 in Sacramento that just opened a week or so ago. I used it last week and it was great. $.22 per kWh plus $.35 bank fee. I got about 80 miles of range in 25...

Who has solar panels on their roof?

I wish I could get solar. My wife and I looked into it a couple years ago, but even with the tax credit we couldn't afford it. Maybe in a few more years when we got some equity back in the house and home battery storage is more developed we will try again.
