With the new Bolt coming out at years end, does anybody know if GM has stopped making the Spark EV? I currently lease a 2014 Spark EV, but I am thinking of buying one. Is the dealer inventory drying up?
At 7500 miles, I got my first service at the dealer. I told the service writer that this vehicle is unique and has different off set rims on the front/rear. I guess he didn't hear me or make a note to the tech cuz they did a traditional rotation and damaged both of my rear rims when they...
I'm at 8500 miles and the front tires are at the tread bars too. Getting Kumho Ecsta 4X tires installed at Americas Tire for $233 out the door. Hope they last 40K like they are supposed to, but I'm thinking I'll get 20K out of them (gotta love that 400 lbs of torque).
No, mine didn't fluctuate like that and refuse to turn off. The error code popped up in the middle of the display, just showing a charging fault. Your problem was much more severe.
Just had my first 7500 service and the tech rotated the rear tires to the front. Needless to say, the rear rims with the different offset hit the brake calipers as he backed the vehicle up causing damage to the rims (see photo link). He fixed his error, but I was NOT notified of the damage. I...
So, if you leave the front rims where they are (correct offset) and try to put 185/60 tires will they rub somewhere? I really want to put on Michelin tires on the front, but that is the only size that is close.
And I'm thinking the 195/55s are too wide?
Bryce...you seem to be the resident...
From what I see, Nissan is the only one that is heavily advertising their EV. When I tell people about the Spark EV, every single person has not heard of it. Sales are poor because nobody knows it exists (in my opinion).
The owner's manual states that the tires need rotating at 7,500 miles and I am getting near that. I don't see on my tires where they are indicated as unidirectional. Are you sure that they are?
A couple days prior to the vehicle not taking a charge, the yellow "service vehicle soon" light came on. It had done that in the past and then just disappeared on its own (normally after a few hours). The car continued to charge normally and then one morning, after it being plugged in all...
Bryce,
I only plugged it in when it was running once and that was weeks prior to the car not taking a charge. I think if that was the reason for the fault to be triggered, it would have prevented charging that night when I normally charge the car. It charged normally for days and then just...
Well....The Stealership couldn't find anything wrong with it and cleared the fault allowing it to take a charge again. The service writer said that they couldn't find anything wrong, but the technician wanted to know if we ever plugged in the car while it was running or started the car with the...
I was at work and had my wife take it to the dealer. I assumed that the dealer would fix it while my wife waited. I wonder if that would have done it, kinda like clearing a check engine light. Bummer I didn't try.
