Has anyone tried DIREZZA ZII STAR SPEC tires?

I wouldn't suggest these tires on the Spark. I use them on my other car and took a 15% hit to mileage plus they are quite loud. On such a quiet car that would be really annoying. I've come to the realization that there is no winning move when it comes to tires on this car.

    Battery degredation

I'm at approx 7500 miles and my indicated range is 58 miles give or take. I have much sticker tires, though, and they are slightly larger than stock. I also don't drive slowly and charge to full each day. I think the range indicator is becoming more conservative, though. Meaning that by the...

    Rear turn signal lenses?

This is one of the safety weak points in this vehicle, and many GM vehicles. They could REALLY use amber turn signals lenses or clear with amber bulbs. I have a spot that I have to stop and turn into a driveway in the middle of a fast curve and I have to be really careful about the cars behind...

    HID Option?

I picked up a set of the Xenon Depot LEDs for the high beams in my other vehicle and the results are below. I want to make it clear that the results in this other vehicle (which also has an aftermarket HID kit) should not be considered representative of the results of the LED in the Spark and I...

    Automatic Parking Brake Release...

I just discovered this functionality this evening. Very handy. Guess I should have read the manual more closely. From the manual: In short, start the car, put it in gear, lightly tap the gas pedal and the brake releases itself.

Do owners of the Spark EV have an site like Volt owners?

We used to have a site with more information. GM killed it. EDIT: looks like they updated the mychevy site since I last visited it. There was a while there where there was very little info. It's improved but you still can't remote start like you used to be able to. The old efficiency graphs...

    What range do you show?

I try not to obsess over the range but the most significant battery conditioning I've seen was a day where the vehicle sat parked all day on a hot blacktop in full sun with 105-degree temps and moderate humidity. The drive home was a freeway run @ 75MPH slightly uphill into a headwind with the...

    HID Option?

To clarify, I wouldn't say that putting HIDs in non-HID reflector headlights is an automatic no-no. If you have a well designed halogen reflector with good, controlled beam patterns then adding a decent HID kit will result in similar though brighter output. I've done this in the past and no...

    What range do you show?

Mine showed 72-75 on the original tires and now it's 63-65 on my much better but not LRR tires. I do not drive slow and run 35-37PSI in the tires. The only weirdness/waste my car displays is that the A/C seems to create cold air even with the fan off and only the fresh-air vent set to open...

    light icons?

The phrase "Automatic" headlights here isn't really what people expect. I expect automatic headlights to mean they turn on automatically at night, and turn off in daylight. In this car it only seems to mean that when I turn the car on, the headlights turn on, and when I turn it off the...
