    Car locks and unlocks itself

I just heard from the dealer again and they said the only error code the car had was a low voltage reading for a fob, so it's possible that my backup fob that I never use was acting messed up. I'll replace the batteries in both fobs and then post an update if it fixes the issue in case someone...

    Car locks and unlocks itself

On Sunday, for some reason my car kept locking and unlocking itself while it was sitting in my garage. At first it was only once every few minutes, so I basically ignored it. Later on though, it was happening every few seconds, and it was double-locking itself fast enough to cause the horn to...

Best modifications to stay cool in the summer?

Cool you live nearby then, I'm in Orlando. I guess that makes 3 known Spark EV owners in the Orlando area since I saw another blue one on 408 one day. Anyway, I ended up tinting my windows, getting mesh seat covers, and getting a sun shade, so between those 3 things it's been a lot better...

    Coverking Seat Covers

I actually ordered through Costco since they seemed to have the best price. The Veloci-Vent is the same thing as Spacer Mesh from the Coverking site, so wherever you order from then just make sure you pick one of those two. Costco basically redirects you to a storefront that Coverking hosts, so...

    Coverking Seat Covers

This is the black/gray option. You can get them to mail free samples of up to 5 materials, so you could see them in person if you wanted.

    Carvana 2015 Chevy Spark EV

Probably the easiest way to check if a Carvana Spark EV has quick charge is to use the Chevy online chat and tell them to look up the VIN number. Carvana has the VIN number in the CarFax once it becomes available, and Chevy's chat is usually pretty helpful for looking up things like that.

    Carvana 2015 Chevy Spark EV

I just bought a 2015 with 15,000 miles on it from Carvana in June, and it was also a personal lease vehicle from somewhere in California. My capacity so far has been around 16-16.5 kWh, just like TheLondonBroiler. So far mine has been working out great (it's still only at around 17,000-18,000...

Going to take the plunge finally

I got mine from Carvana and they ship it for free, so that's an option too. Granted, "free" just means the price might be a little higher than one from a lot, but you can also use referral codes to get $500 off so it all balances out.

    Coverking Seat Covers

I recently got the 2LT model, and with the hot and humid Florida weather, the leatherette was very sticky and sweaty. I finally caved in and bought the Coverking mesh seat covers. Here's a picture in case anyone's also considering that: So far I've only tried it out for a day but it seems...

First (and only) Failure @ 54k miles.

My local Chevy dealer told me there was no fix for the range estimation recall when I brought it in. They also were worried that there was no history of oil changes when they looked up my car, so I guess they're not the best source of information.

    AC Question

I just got to test this a little bit. My AC was set to 75 this morning, and then it was parked out in the Florida sun all day. Right before I left for work, we had a bad thunderstorm and the temperature outside was 74. I kept the AC at 75 and it still kept blowing cold air, most likely...

Looking to buy a 2014 Spark in blue with quick-charge.

Not sure if this has quick charge, but it seems to have everything else: https://www.carvana.com/search/2000123532/2014-chevrolet-1lt-hatchback-4d-

    AC Question

Thanks for the info! So how do you turn on the heat then? Do you need AUTO enabled to heat the car, or does the car basically know that it needs to heat up if you have the inside temperature set to something that's a lot warmer than the outside temperature?

    AC Question

This might be a stupid question, but if I have the AC set to 74, and then later on the outside temperature goes down to 72, does that mean it will start heating the car because the temperature control is set to 74? If so, is there a way to set it so that it just switches to outside air as soon...

In Phoenix Area, Determined to Have a Spark EV

Oh cool, there were no dealerships anywhere near me in Florida that had Spark EVs, so I basically just had to test drive a gas Spark at the Chevy dealership and hope for the best with Carvana. Luckily it all worked out though, and glad to hear it's working out for you too.
