I routinely see my GoM range increase by 7 miles when I drive 5 miles from home to downtown, it's almost entirely downhill and I travel city streets, maximizing regen when possible. It's all as expected because if I kept driving downhill my actual range would keep increasing. Of course then I...
When I got Sparky back yesterday I was startled to see only 26 miles left on the GoM. I had charged it overnight and the dealer is a 20 minute drive away. I also noticed that the odometer was indicating my lifetime average efficiency was 51.1 miles per kWh. Obviously that is false.
It charged...
We just got a check from SoCalEd for the third year in a row, we are net producers of electricity. Our 2014 Spark EV has never been charged anywhere except at home. 78 solar panels make lots of power.
We are also on top of a steep hill. It's an eighth of a mile from our mailbox to our house. When I drive 1 mile to a supermarket that trip back up the hill kills my efficiency.
For tires I went with Continental ContiProContact in front, and my typical GOM full charge reading is 74 these days too.
Initially I was using USB sticks too, I had the problem of them disappearing sometimes. Now I keep an iPod nano hooked to the USB in my 2014 Spark EV. I find the iPod produces a higher volume level than the built-in MP3 player used for USB sticks.
The iPod also behaves oddly sometimes...
I would advise you not to have a third party buy your EV for you, as this may void your eligibility as original owner for federal tax credits. That's $7500 if you owe that much in taxes.
Clearly you would do better financially to fly first class to Cali, buy the car yourself, rent a U-Haul...
I've noticed a delay in the GOM updates. When I drive to a local store the trip there is always downhill. I often notice that I have one more mile of guesstimated range when I return to my car vs what it said on arrival.
They are simply resting on the floor in the back seat. But your question may present a false dichotomy, it does not necessarily follow that I will be injured simply because I could be.
The Wharfedales are 8 ohm speakers.
The 6 x 9s were JVC DRVN series and rated at 4 ohms impedance, in generic, shallow, gray-carpeted enclosures, but it seems the enclosures were of insufficient volume, or they suffered from the lack of a tuned port. They also were not a high end model, while...
There was a pair of unused bookshelf speakers sitting idle in a seldom used room in our house, Wharfedale Diamond 7.1.
Until now I had a pair of cheap 6x9 speakers in generic gray carpet enclosures sitting in the rear passenger footwells. That produced some bass, but it got muddy fast at...
We have 78 solar panels, each with a microinverter. Our 2014 Spark EV has not been charged anywhere except at home since we bought it.
We are net producers and have gotten small checks from SoCalEd for the last two years for our excess energy put on the grid.
If we had chosen a standalone...
